The quality and fit of these roof racks are very reliable. If you follow the instructions and space them out correctly, the performance for the strength is outstanding. Definitely a fair value for the price. I traveled over 4 hours with a double kayak on the racks going down freeways and strong winds. I installed these on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler JK 4 door and they work as advertised. Installing the Snailfly Black Luggage Roof Rack is a straightforward process, and it is designed to fit 2007-2023 Jeep Wrangler JK, JL, and Gladiator JT models. The rack seamlessly attaches to the roof rain gutters, providing a universal fit that requires no modifications or additional hardware. I did purchase torx security screws to replace the mounting screws for security reasons. I have purchased these to haul our kayak, and shopping trips to the home improvement stores with much success. The roof rack's aerodynamic design minimizes wind resistance and noise.     • A little hard to get installed
So I read the directions. Yes, I know the bar that goes in front is not as wide as the bar that goes in the rear. However, the front bar fit just fine in most any place I tried installing it. The rear bar though, is wayyyyy to wide for a JL Jeep's roof profile. No matter where I slid it, it was wider than it needed to be by an inch or more, depending. I almost took a saw to the cross bar to shorten it, and I probably should have, but I managed to press hard enough to get it clamped to the rain gutter of my hard top and fully secure it. The rear bar has a "slight" bow, but it hasn't affected its ability to hold my cargo basket or any cargo. When the weather warms again I may take it off and fine tune it, but honestly at the price point, I am not mad at all. I will deal with the minor, very minor quirks at this price point. It beats paying $700-$1000 for a competitor's system. Also, works really great with the ROLA Vortex cargo basket, and looks cool too - like those old-school Land Rover safari vehicles. For those who don't know, ROLA (AU) is Draw-tite in the US. Quality stuff. ... show more

Super easy to install. Looks to be sturdy enough for what I will need them for. The Jeep grill stickers or emblem in the pictures advertised are not included. That was kind of disappointing. Overall decent quality

    • Good quality, light duty use only
This rack was easy to install. The fit and finish is very clean looking on our Jeep. It’s a very light duty rack. It flexes under the weight of my fishing kayak. Granted, my kayak weighs 123 lbs with all the gear on it. I wouldn’t haul more than about 150 lbs on it. Some said that it came loose when hauling a kayak. I can see that if it’s a heavier one like mine or it’s secured in those racks that hold the kayak on its side because of this racks flexing. I strap my kayak to the Jeep as well as the rack to prevent this. It serves it purpose for now. I’ll be getting a better built rack in the near future. ... show more

    • Does it's purpose.
Pretty easy to install, however one of essential screws needed to clamp the bars to the jeep went missing and I'm needing a replacement. Having issues trying to contact the seller for a replacement screw or at least sizing of the screws so I can purchase a new one.

These will suffice for the purpose that I bought them. That said, a couple of things... 1. The brackets are made of plastic. (See the first pic.) I imagine today’s plastic technology is better than It used to be, but I’m partial to metal brackets. 2. I found out via installation that one bar is a bit longer than the other. I had no idea and had the devil of a time installing the longer one towards the front. When I found the other was a bit shorter, I changed their places and they fit well. There is no indication which is front or back, and there were no instructions. They will work well to tie down light loads, so overall I’m happy with them. ... show more
