This item was being sold and I decided to buy a “used” product. Everything came in the package but the directions that came were not sufficient!!! I ended up looking the product back up on Amazon and then YouTube to figure out how to properly put them together. Once I found a video I was in business!!! Put together and installed when my car started “farting” as my kids said. When there was weight on them it didn’t make any noise. So I finally got some assistance and realized that the arrows on the side of the locking pieces point to the back as that is the way the wind should travel. Now, I am back in business!!!!     • Pretty good, just a bit noisy
Overall, I'm happy with it. I was able to transport my kayak about 100 miles, didn't loosen at all and my kayak didn't end up flying off the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Only complaint: very noisy. There's a sweet spot between 30 to 50 mph where it gets so loud it drowns out the radio, but there's ways to fix that. Look great on a oxford white Ford Edge ... show more

    • okay roof rack
This roof rack is very well built and very sturdy and extremely easy to put together, despite the despicable instructions and that is why I am giving this a 4 and not a 3 but thats about where my positive review ends, i know you get what you pay for but i would expect a little more, one there were little metal shavings from the milling all over the rails. i blew off with compressed air and am still finding shavings as i built the unit. next the rail covers are extremely loose fitting, i ended up getting some ca glue as i will not be taking these off my wifes ford edge and wanted them to look nice and fit tight. the last part the lock and key are extremely clumsy and it was a real pain to get the key to turn to take the cover off. then installing the cover proved to be just as bad. ... show more

    • Good alternative to the high buck crossbars.
Quality is very good, instructions are a little cryptic but here is what you need to know when installing: The Ford Edge roof rails are not parallel, i.e. the distance between the rails are wider at the front of the car than at the rear. No need to modify the unit to make it work, see my tip. TIP: Build/assemble and loosely install one crossbar at the rear of the rails, where it will fit, and then gently work it to the front position where you want. Once there, square it up, and tighten everything up. Of course, the second bar installs at the rear and likewise, position it where you want it. I read an earlier review where the individual drilled additional holes to modify the front bar to make it work. I happened upon my process trying to avoid this modification and it worked.     • Installed quickly on a 2019 Ford Edge
I set aside significant time to install this, and shocked that it took just 30 minutes. I have not put a load onto the bars yet, but this is a great price and will be very useful. I do wonder if there is an add on that I can purchase to block the wind noise? I wanted to put them further back on the vehicle, however, if I go to far back, the rear tailgate may be blocked by the cargo carrier I load on top. ... show more

    • Barely fit, very loud.
I purchased these because it specifically said they fit a 2019 Ford Edge. They were easy enough to put together and quality seems good. Installing was another story. They barely go wide enough to fit a Ford Edge. It was a struggle to get them together and secured. Once installed, making sure they are facing the correct direction according to the stickers in them saying "front", they create a ton of wind noise when nothing is on them. Anything above 40mph they howl. It's loud enough that I would prefer to remove them between uses, but waiting until the end of summer to remove them. I guess this is why people pay $500 for name brand systems. ... show more
