Following a visit to some high-tech, luxury design store with his parents this past Christmas season, my 6-year-old nephew started obliviously greeting everyone he encountered with "Guess what I want? A $6,000.00 massage chair!" While everyone's initial response was to howl with laughter at the sheer ridiculousness of the request, it became clear that he was genuinely serious when it started appearing in the crayon artwork he would bring home from school and the Lego configurations strewn across his bedroom floor. Despite the unfortunate reality that the one he had his heart set on was never going to be an option, his letter to the North Pole did me in as it was prominently displayed at the top of his list alongside a detailed drawing of himself sitting in the chair. At this point, I was determined to find a suitable alternative but by the time I discovered this, it was too late for it to be received in time for Christmas. After accepting that his dream was not to be, he slowly moved on and stopped talking about it. With the arrival of his Birthday a full month later, I seized the opportunity to truly surprise him following all those weeks of giddy anticipation that ended in such a letdown. I was a little worried that he would be disappointed since it wasn't the coveted designer chair, however, once I explained that he could use it in different places like his bed, the couch in the living room, or the recliner in the TV room he was completely sold. We initially set it up on a bed and he climbed in waiting to see how it worked. The attached remote control has numerous settings and allows for a wide variety of targeted options to satisfy individual preferences - he had this mastered in seconds. The look on his face once it was switched on was priceless - it was absolute euphoria. His eyes actually rolled back as he let out a deep sigh and said: "oh, yeah… this really helps me unwind". I actually had to turn away to conceal my laughter as I watched this little boy morph into an old man! Soon, a line started forming as everyone took a turn with all the adults unanimously agreeing that they were wrong in their earlier mockery of his obsession with the massage chair. Three of those present have gone on to purchase a Snailax massage mat of their own; two of them struggle with pain management issues resulting from both an auto accident and a sports injury. They both strongly agreed that it did provide them with some relief from stiffness and difficulty getting comfortable in bed when trying to fall asleep. Of note, no matter which program you select, the mat automatically shuts down after 30 minutes. You can immediately restart it if you like, but this feature works well for purposes of a sleep aid. It comes in a functional box that doubles as a storage container and features a convenient carrying handle. A detailed user’s manual is included along with a certificate for a free two-year warranty. After a brief email exchange with the Snailax Customer Service Representative, my Nephew was all set and he proudly carried his new treasure to the car in its suitcase-like presentation box. I liked the fact that it is lightweight and easy to set up at home or at the office. I purchased it relieve muscle tension in my back, shoulders and neck. I was also very happy with how it relieves tension and aids in lower body relaxation as well. Great product!

The memory foam makes it comfortable even when it's not turned on. I like that you can add heat if needed. It's nice that the whole mat can be turned on or just sections and I was looking for one that had a mode that was just constant vibration and not a variation of pulsations which this one has. If I had to make any complaints, it would be that it times out after 30 minutes, otherwise it's perfect. ... show more

You will like this onec....one..... can turn heat on or off , levels of vibration .... high is pretty strong !!!! It goes in all different patterns or concentrated on a certain spot or 2 or 3 or 4 ....... up to all 5 .... if you want 1 out 5 or 3 out 5 or 4 out 5 on it works awsome .... stays on for about 30 min I think until it's done and you just hit the remote button again!!! ... show more

Just another piece of over priced chinese junk.......had it less than two weeks and one of the vibrating cells at the shoulders has already quit working......The vibrating intensity is good...Ease of use is good....but what good is intensity and ease of use if the internal components don't last longer than 2 weeks .......I am dissatisfied with this purchase and probably will not buy again. ... show more

I am an autistic adult who craves constant sensory input. Using this vibration mat helps me to relax my constantly moving body. I highly recommend this product for your sensory needs. I am also a bariatric patient. I am 5’4” and 330lbs. So I initially worried if the mat would be wide enough to accommodate me. The answer yes! So technically I am wider than the mat, but it hits just right when you put this mat in a soft chair. It like tapers, so no lumps, and you absolutely feel the vibrations in your whole body. So if you are debating whether you are too wide or heavy, worry no more. This is the perfect product for you. Lastly it’s helped with my back pain. I use it all the time, and I noticed my back feeling much better. The intensity of the vibration is just perfect. This vibration mat is perfect for anyone who needs soothing vibrations in their lives. If you are autistic or having sensory processing disorder, I recommend this product be added to your “sensory diet”. Also, not to worry if you are severely overweight. This massage pad is decently made and works well. It is slightly uncomfortable to lay on if used on top of a bed, but in a chair or adjustable bed, it is decent. It definitely gave me almost instant relief from my leg/back pain and is very easy to use. Minimal instructions are included, but that's all that is really needed. 4 stars because of the slight discomfort when used laying down.
