I got this for my 6'4" and 270# companion. He had debilitating back pain that the backwoods doctors just couldn't figure out. Finally the doc discovered 'bone spurs' on his C6 and C7 and sent him to a surgeon. Turns out the spurs were the least of his problem. He has a disc pushing into his spinal nerve bundle. The least invasive treatment option is physical therapy and it is working! Twice a week. Not often enough. I ordered a different heating pad and the belt wouldn't fit around his waist. Then I ordered this thing. It fits! It is a couple of inches longer than the first. This morning he told me it has more settings. It will work on his back for 30 minutes, rest for 15 and let him reset it. His most intense pain happens shortly after going to bed. Sound familiar? If you are looking for a better heating pad for a larger person, this is it. If you want an alternative to physical therapy, it will not work. Bite the bullet, schedule therapy AND then get this. I bought this for me and my husband and I tried it out first and it does not get hot or warm but it does message you but it doesn't get hot or warm enough for me. So I will be send it back. Cause it is not doing what I need for it to do.
