I am very impressed with this laser. Being an Olight fan I compared the specs of this laser to their products and found the specs to be impressive. Upon receipt I tested it side-by-side with the Olight Baldr laser and decided I prefer this SMS laser. The fit is perfect and very snug. It is easy to attach to a Glock and the flashlight is brighter than the Olight laser. The SMS green laser is extremely clear and bright at least a tenth of a mile down the road at night. All in all I would say this SMS GL50-G laser/flashlight combo is a better choice at a better price point. I highly recommend this laser.

Amazing things it can do. Really is 1000 lumen. I got it for my Glock 22 gen 5 .40 S&W. Fit like a charm easy installation my dog could have done it. If your smart sight your laser in at about 10-15 yards. Or furthest wall in house if using for home defense only. I give this 5 out of 5 stars because it’s a actual 1000 lumen light unlike other brands with false advertisement. Green laser goes beyond far. In night time really goes over 4500 feet. Really recommend. Update: I’ve seen comments about why it’s not charging this and that. I ran into this problem last night. I switched the wall box and switched to a different outlet and it started charging. I also noticed when it was green meaning fully charged, I barley bumped it and it went back to red. So if yours is always red it’s a possibility it got bumped during charge

While this Light/Laser combo does work as intended and advertised, what is not advertised is that you won't actually be able to use it on any handgun you actually own unless it is one you only keep locked up in a box and only take to a range-an outdoor range seeing as a light is not needed for an indoor range. let's examine how this is designed and why it is utterly useless to every gun owner with perhaps only one exception I can think of. the reason you use a green dot laser is because it is visible in daytime. The reason you use a light on a pistol is for target identification so you don't have an accident. the reason you carry or own a handgun is because it is small and compact and capable of use for self-defense away from the home primarily where it is not possible or impractical to carry something as large as a shotgun. since that is so, it is understood that you are meant to have a holster for this handgun and in most states it is legally required, even if carried off body such as in a purse or handbag for Ladies. Holsters are required to cover the trigger guard and prevent accidents. That means for this item to be used anywhere outside of a home, it must be used on a handgun that fits a holster, but the light is in fact too large for holsters on every brand and type I have tried and I actually took it into a store recently and went through everything they had desperately trying to find something. Nothing fits. That means it has to be removed from the handgun in order for that handgun to be carried legally anywhere, in any state. this product does not have a quick detach mount. You have to use a small screw driver and some patience to mount it properly and then zero it in afterword. Needly to say you are not going to just pop it on in the seconds you have to verify who is rummaging around in your tool shed out back, so neither the light or laser serves you in this scenario. You can't just mount it and drop it in your purse or bag...because now you are breaking the Law and putting your safety at risk as well without a Holster. You could mount it and leave the pistol in the box you bought it in and only take it to the range...an indoor range...where the light is not needed in the first place. You could take it to an outdoor range...where the light is not needed again because these are certain to close before dark. You might think to yourself that you'll take it hunting...but now you are breaking the Law yet again because using the light while hunting is called "shining" and liable to get you in trouble with the Game Warden and others. All of this means that the only useful feature of this product is actually the laser, which as I noted is designed for daytime use anyway so the light portion of this product is utterly useless due to the incompatible design they chose. Yet, because you can't separate the light and laser now both features are completely useless to you in every role you might actually use a firearm for legitimately. This light is actually too large to fit on subcompact pistols and yes, even these too are expected to be carried in a holster of some kind. This means you basically can't use this product on anything for any reason except only one: you put it on the home defense handgun you keep somewhere at your house and never leave your property with, and that makes perfect sense owing to the very hostile attitude towards self-defense and sporting uses of firearms from too many in our culture. this product is a useless gimmick that you can't actually apply in reality anywhere but your imagination. Don't loose your money on this worthless souvenir. Revision: I purchased this Light/Laser combo nearly a year ago this July and just put it on a paintball marker so never had the chance to try it out. Recently I put it on a handgun as indicated and not only can I not find anything that fits it including light bearing holsters, if that weren't enough, I took it to the range yesterday for the first time after spending the night prior zero'ing it in. I sent the target down 15 yards, assumed a stance and the laser suddenly went out. I had charged it fully the night before. I put the weapon down, cleared it and checked the unit. Light still worked strong and bright. but laser would not come on for anything. I brought the target in a little and burned off the box of ammo I bought, boxed up the pistol and we all went home. I opened the box to check the pistol and maybe put it back on the charger and find out what was going on with the laser and the unit was burning hot to the touch. I hadn't shot more than 50 rounds so the pistol was cool. I put it on the charger and it still wasn't cooling off. Got nervous, removed it, had both my kids check it to see if I was crazy-nope, then took it and put it in the freezer to cool it checking often to make sure it didn't suddenly catch on fire or something. It eventually cooled off normally, so I put it back on the charger and picked it up often to make sure it wasn't heating up again. Set a timer during this time to make sure I charged it a full 2 hours. Light worked, Laser, nothing. The freaking Laser burned it self out after only using it a short while to zero it in the night before. None of my other Lasers have done this and I have some pretty cheap ones I use on Air Soft stuff. None of them have burned out. this unit is obviously priced and designed to compete with a couple of models and very few have magnetic chargers, which was entirely why I bought it. I thought it was made in Colorado but now I suspect it is a cheap foreign knock-off that uses low quality diodes and soldering because it burned out before I actually got to use it for the intended purpose and I kept it too long before testing it like a fool idiot so I can't even get a refund on it. WOW, what a mistake. Thank God I was only at the range when this happened and keeping a close eye on it or it could have cost me my life or burned my house down. This company seriously needs to redesign these and hire some QA staff before selling any more of these.

The 1,000 lumens is what I would call just adequate. I had a 1200 lumen light which was significantly brighter. Of course one would expect a 1000 lumen unit to be less bright than 1200, it was more dim than I expected. The light has a definite yellow cast to it, especially the outer ring of the beam, which I find a bit annoying. I've noticed that many COB flashlights have that yellow cast. The green laser, however, is great. The adjustment did move significantly after I went to the range, but I think it might have had to settle in. I readjusted it with a laser boresight in the chamber and got it spot-on, but the adjustment is extremely sensitive and hard to get exact without over-shooting. In othere words, if the green laser is a little to the left of the boresight laser, it is very hard to sneak it to the right without overshooting because the adjustment is a little too coarse. It takes some time to get it right, but once you do, it's fine. The green laser is extraordinarily easy to see in full daylight. I think it's great. Mounting to the gun was fine. No issues. Overall, I recommend this product, but I wish the lumens were more light 1200.

Everything you want in a laser/light combo without the high price! 1000 Lumens AND a green laser at this price point is amazing! Was looking at a Stremlight TLR8-GA and this was hands down a much smarter choice and less than a third of the cost! I was able to buy a Red Dot too with the savings! Well built and love the separate rear buttons so you don't have to cycle thru patterns to get what you want! Easy to adjust. Love the magnetic charging. Buy this light! Hell, Buy TWO! Give one as a gift.
