I was excited to get a cordless pool cleaner. I have had a Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus which worked ok until the cord broke and it never worked well after. The unit was easy to charge and start. I put it into the pool and it worked ok. It didn't do as thorough job as the Dolphin but it was serviceable. I fished it out after this first use and plugged it to recharge. It seemed to recharge overnight. The next day I put it back in the pool, hoping it would finish the job. It started fine and it ran for about 10 minutes. I saw it stop in the middle of the pool but I had to go out and do something. When I got back the unit was still in the middle of the pool not moving and no lights on. When it runs out of charge, it is supposed to go to the wall. I was mildly annoyed. I plugged it back on thinking that it needed to charge again but no lights came on. I checked my outlet and the plug and it was all working fine but the Smorobot unit wasn't charging and it wouldn't power up. I reached out to the manufacturer and got a bot that did nothing, just like the unit. It's disappointing to have a new tool that doesn't work and a company that doesn't offer much service quickly. Update: I appreciate the company asked me to give them one more chance. They sent a second unit. The pattern was identical to the first unit. It ran ok the first time. It charged fine, or at least it looked like it did. It ran for a very short time the second time. It stopped in the middle of the pool. I went to clean it and there was nothing sucked up by the unit. I plugged it to charge it again and like the last unit, it did nothing. Steer away from these units. They aren't up to par! ... show more

I bought Smorbot X-11. It arrived and was extremely well protected with all custom cut, good quality cardboard. The company’s communications prior to shipment were excellent and continued with the arrival of the Bot. The X11 came fully assembled with a filter in the unit and a spare filter in the box. The only “assembly” required was putting the lifting hook onto the end of my netting or brush aluminum pole. Charging was very easy with the cord keyed so it could only be threaded onto the Smorobot one way. This “one way fit” was also true when putting the filter into the unit. It only goes into the robot one way, so you never have to worry about it being in the correct position. Fully charged, I put my X11 into the pool, following the simple instructions. The unit is relatively light and compact enough that it is easy to carry and place into the pool. The Smorobot is designed to clean both the walls and the bottom of the pool. There is a two-position switch for Standard Clean and Fast Clean. This is an excellent idea but should really be set up so that the Fast Clean only cleans the bottom while the Standard Clean cleans both the walls and bottom. I’ve made this suggestion to Customer Support who was very receptive to the suggestion. Sadly the unit did not run as expected wandering about not following the pattern as shown in the online video and repeated areas while skipping others. I emailed Smorobot to notify them of the issue. This is where the company really shined. Their customer service is a model for what every customer service should be like. My email was acknowledged within hours and it was the weekend. On Sunday night I received a call from customer support asking me to better describe the problems I was seeing. The rep (Jay) was incredibly helpful and I was able to show him live video of the robot operating. He watched the robot for a few minutes and immediately told me to ship it back and offered to have a new one shipped out. Jay provided a tracking order for the new unit the next day and notified me when it had arrived at my house. This time the Smorobot ran exactly as seen in the demo videos on their website. It began on the walls and went up and down the vertical surfaces with ease. When it arrived at the stairs, the Bot recognized the change of surface and proceeded to the other side of the stairs. After cleaning the walls the robot cleaned the floor in a back and forth fashion and did an amazing job getting everything from large leaves to fine dirt. Emptying and cleaning the robot is also super simple with a large, door on the top and a really big filter box with a latched door at the bottom. Everything on the unit can easily be sprayed down with a hose and lots of smooth surfaces means it stays clean. I highly recommend not only the Smorobot X11, but Smorobot the company. While admittedly the first unit was a fail, the company was super responsive, and replaced the original unit with a brand new X11 without any hassles or difficulties. They followed-up on the shipment of the replacement unit and new X11 runs as advertised providing a great clean. Every company produces the occasional dud, but very few provide the support that Smorobot did. Five Stars in my book. ... show more

Please READ BEFORE YOU BUY! I purchased one and stopped working 2 months after I bought it. I returned it to Amazon and decided to give it a try again so I bought a second one... which worked well for over 2 months again, but after that the led bar at the front started flickering, however the robot continued to work as expected. A couple days later the lights went off and the robot wouldn't turn on anymore. I opened it up so that you don't have to, and what I found in there was shocking . In picture #1 you could clearly see that the reason these robots fail is because the charging cord has a crappy design where water breaks the seal open and guess what, the inside of your robot will get filled with water leading to rust and short circuit. It I didn't stop there, In picture #2 you could clearly see after I opened the case how everything is soaking wet and rusted to hell. The second and also as important issue I have with this is that they decided to use VERY and I mean VERY cheap parts. As you can see in the pictures, they did not use Brushless motors, but instead they installed the cheapest brushed motors they could find in all China. Even if the robot had great sealing capabilities, I guarantee you these motors were not going to last a year, and obviously by then you would have no option to return it anymore. And the third issue is that they used a cheap ESP32 board with an led bar that is also having sealing issues.. the inside of the bar is rusty as well. Bottom line, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT or anything from this company. I feel like I got scammed by them and at this point I will blast this message in all social media I could find. Do NOT buy! ... show more
