Features

  • Ecoflex rubbers are water white translucent and can be color pigmented with Silc Pig pigments for creating a variety of color effects. You can also add Smooth-Ons Silicone Thinner to further lower the viscosity. THI-VEX silicone thickener can be added by weight to Ecoflex silicones for brushable applications.
  • Ecoflex rubbers are suitable for a variety of applications including making prosthetic appliances, cushioning for orthotics and special effects applications (especially in animatronics where repetitive motion is required).
  • Note: Ecoflex 00-10 cures with a tacky surface.

Description

Ecoflex rubbers are platinum-catalyzed silicones that are versatile and easy to use. Ecoflex rubbers are mixed 1A:1B by weight or volume and cured at room temperature with negligible shrinkage. Low viscosity ensures easy mixing and de-airing. Cured rubber is very soft, very strong and very โ€œstretchyโ€, stretching many times its original size without tearing and will rebound to its original form without distortion.

Has been out of stock for a while sadly. It was relatively easy to work with. If you arent very picky about microbubbles, this is usable without a degassing chamber. The 0030 version i would say is more or less unusable for fine detail work without a degasser.

i've gotten many packages of this in the past but this one the resulting rubber came out incredibly tacky. the two parts were weighed on a scale and accurately 1:1. Both parts were mixed using a clean brand new long neck resin mixer paddle. BOTH jars were ALSO stirred independently thoroughly with a dedicated mixer paddle (one custom marked blue, the other yellow to avoid confusion) seriously disappointing given the great length i went through to ensure a proper mix. ... show more

I ordered the ecoflex 00-10 but received 00-30. I decided to keep it as it's still pretty soft. It doesn't help that they put a sticker over the large printed label. I may order again in the future but I'm not sure if I want to have another 00-30 or mess with returning it if they send the wrong one again. I thickened the silicone and it cured within an hour, so if you need it to not be so runny it works great. ... show more

Pros: easy to use, soft, good for prosthetics and orthotics use, sealed with aluminum Cons: the lids can be loose and if the package is handled rough it can pop the aluminum seal and spill. The air bubbles did not come out at all. However is held up and set as it says. I needed 00-20 but was having a hard time finding it. So I tried this one at 00-10 which was way to soft. However, it works. Was softer than gel shoe inlays
