I'm new to resin crafting—this set was a great way to get started. I've made four little birds and several pendants and still have some resin left in the first (of two) bottles. You will need to supply your own molds and/or jewelry components. A nice surprise was discovering that the bottles have a cap for the applicator tip. The UV lamp has lights on the top and both sides (and is bright enough to start curing resin set too close next to it, so be careful). The uncured resin has a nice viscosity—it pours well but is thick enough to dome easily (on appropriate surfaces/bezels) and not ooze away too quickly if you layer or don't want to fill a frame completely (but don't wait too long cure it). The uncured resin does have an odor but it is not overwhelming with good ventilation (always recommended). A USB cable for the lamp IS included, but you will have to supply your own AC/DC adapter (regular mini port) if you want to plug it into an outlet. The lamp does not have a selectable timer but it does have auto-shutoff; mine ran about 60 secs when turned on. The silicone mixing/pouring cups are great, but the silicone stirring tools are almost too flimsy to be practical; they are easy to clean and reuse, however, just cure them and pop off any leftover resin. I've had so much fun I've already spent three times the cost of the kit buying molds and frames to use with it... ... show more

I use this with the group I volunteer crafts with, it is a rehabilitation facility and this is very easy for everyone to work with. Product was easy to use and cured fast. Fast and easy projects are the words for this product. A little goes a long way. I’m looking for additional projects. The resin is so awesome the possibilities are endless 🤙🏻 This particular project i used a cricut machine to cut out the decal for the key you see underneath the resin. You get a good amount of it and the light works very well. Beginners need to know that resin will cure quickly in sunlight even if it’s soft sunlight from a window. You should also know that this type of resin CANNOT be used in thick portions. It only works for as thick as the UV light can penetrate it. Dyes and powders will scatter or block light and either speed up or stop the curing process all together. This resin while clear cannot do thicker than 1cm. It can potentially do 1cm+ if you cure it in a specific way. That way is found by trial and error. Good luck! ... show more

    • UV resin lamp doesn't turn on reliably
I've had no issues with the resin itself, but the lamp is a different story. It doesn't turn on reliably, despite being plugged in--each time I've had an issue I've unplugged and replugged both parts of the cord to no avail. there are just times when it simply will not work. Fortunately I have another lamp; unfortunately I'm working an event next month and really need a second one. I was considering the Let's Resin 360 lamp, but now I'm questioning whether I should go with a different brand. ... show more
