We read instructions, watched YouTube instructions and did exactly as they said. When we pulled our hands out and I looked in the hole I cried thinking that we had ruined it by the looks of it. We poured the plaster, waited for 3.5 hours then hesitated to take the form away thinking it would look horrible. When we got the form pulled away, I cried because it was perfect! Fifty years celebrated perfectly with this wonderful sculpture to have forever! Thank you for this great product! ... show more

Accidentally ordered 2 (my fault) and planned to return the extra one until I used this one for my elderly parents hands and love the way it turned out. Now I’m going to keep the accidental extra one and use it also. My parents are in their 80s and my father has dementia. This was quick and easy to do and was actually kinda fun. I bought this three separate times.. The first one I bought for my work wife. We did a mold of our hands together. It came out so perfect!! Sure, there was touching up to be done after we de-molded it, but it came out so great!! I was/am super impressed… The 2nd and 3rd ones though, not so much.. I was a bit flustered as I was sure I did everything the same, but they didn’t come out as good.. They still came out pretty decent, but there were a lot of small holes, and divots from the hair on my hand and fingers… I thought to myself- why At could have happened?? What could I have done differently??🤔 It occurred to me. On BOTH the 2nd & 3rd ones- there is a step that instructs you to dip your hand in water just before inserting into casting pail.. I didn’t do that step as I did in the first one.. The other thing I did was leave my hand in the mold two minutes longer than the instructions stated.. So, I’m pretty sure the issues with the last two were 100% my fault.. Even so- they still came out well.. I made one of my hand holding a wrench.. When I was de-molding it, I broke the tip of the wrench off.. Again, I kinda factored in that might happen.. A little JB Weld Marine epoxy, and it’s impossible to tell.. The Marine epoxy is white, so that’s why I used that one.. It also works well as I have used it many a times for a many a things!! It’s a good product.. Follow the instructions. Have everything laid out and prepared to go, you should be fine.. ... show more

Loved it! Did snap a finger during the unfolding process but found out regular Elmer’s school glue was the easiest fix! Tried leftover plaster, hot glue, and ultimately Elmer’s glue was the fix. Who knew. Anyways they are fragile but it was an easy process and made for a very funny birthday gift.

I saw the videos, but I was not convinced it would turn out. Even through pouring the stone mixture, I thought "Nope, this is gonna be a laughable disaster". It was actually super cool! Careful on the pouring! If I had to do it again, put it on the floor with a cut open plastic garbage bag to protect the floor. It WILL splash/spill over ... show more
