These little things work great. I bought one for myself for camping trips, didn't use it first couple trips then the wife and I got stuck in a rainy weekend and I remembered this in the box. I busted it out and fired up some pellets under our tarp shelter and had s'mores. It made a tough weather weekend a lot more enjoyable. It'll burn the first load of pellets for a while, but adding more you get some diminishing returns so at some point you'll need to dump it and start over but if you're burning that much you should probably build a regular fire or get a larger version. When we got home I bought 4 more for gifts and got myself another that's one size larger.

Thought these were a gimmick but wqs willing to try on out when it was a lightning deal. Works great with duraflame fire start logs. Gets about 30 min of burn time and puts out decent heat. Good way to enjoy a morning coffee outdoors. The bottom tray is removable for easy ash cleanup. Comes with a nice carry case. I have not had luck with pellets or small wood chunks. When using those they just smolder. Which is why i give it 4 stars.

I actually DO like the size and functionality of this firepit and plan to keep it because of the hassle of return. However, some of the metal edges are raw and extremely sharp - my husband got a very gnarly cut just from lifting the unit out of the box. We’ll have to be careful anytime we’re moving it. These pictures show the section with the raw edges.
