    • We Love Our RTT!
We installed our tent on top of a military trailer that we've been carrying out camping gear in. The XL tent fits perfect, and covers the trailer side to side, front to back completely! We went with the XL tent because we are two adults and two dogs (1 lrg, 1 sm). We all fit comfortably. We've camped the last 3 weekends in the desert with the new tent, and couldn't be happier with our purchase. The winds blew, and the tent was secure with us inside. Yes, it's noisy with the rain fly on, but there are straps to sinch it down, which helps. We did get rained on one night. The tent is sealed perfectly, and there was no moisture inside from rain. Enjoyed this overly expensive tent while it lasted. An important selling point was the two year warranty. The cover’s zipper wore out within a year and I emailed smittybilt for a replacement. After waiting two weeks without contact I called in to rudely be told they were on indefinite back order. Terrible customer service and no real warranty. Go with a different company. ... show more

Pretty easy set up and tear down. Light strip is nice. Plenty of side pouches for storage of small items. Interior is light filled and airy when all of the flaps are open and dark when closed. I love being up off the ground. Mattress is adequate but I already ordered the memory foam topper like others suggested. Quality is great. My only wish is that the support bar for the ladder cover could remain in place for collapsing. Love the skylights. ... show more

Ordered this tent for some weekend overlanding. Was super easy to assemble, material seems rugged and comfortable. Mattress is comfortable for a few nights but would recommend a small memory foam topper. The extension ladder is nice too, I'm a bigger guy and it is very sturdy. The only problem that i've had from the tent is that the zipper gets stuck occasionally when putting the protective travel top back on, but some of that is OE. Maybe not the sellers fault, but looks like a forklift hit the box a sheared off a few teeth in the zipper and a small puncture in the canvas. There is also a random hole from manufacture. With how expensive this is I expect better. Will edit this review if the seller replaces.
