What can you say about a hand mixer that breaks the first time you use it (without resorting to obscenities)? And what was I doing when it broke? Whipping cream. That's right, this is a mixer that can't stand up to the stress of whipping cream. Look at how the tangs of the whisk are "attached" to the stem. They just sort of pop in--and then, of course, pop right out. I suppose this is what I deserve for buying an appliance based solely on its looks, but when you spend the amount of money this thing costs you expect some sort of basic competence from the manufacturer. The price of this product is misleading. Once you hold it your hand it feels and looks cheap like a $20 mixer. I returned it and bought for a 1/5 of the price a much better mixer.
