The one critical point that is not addressed in the product description is that the USB ports are always powered on. The switch outlets are the only ones that can be manually turned on/off via the app. through wifi but the USB port is always on. I bought this specifically so I could control the Plug outlets and the USB with Wifi but that is not the case and that specific distinction is not mentioned anywhere in the product description. Also the USB will always be on even if the status on/off light is off !! ... show more

Very happy with this item. It was very easy and fast to install and link to Alexa. I use this with my electric blanket at night and love the built in timer feature. Not many other wifi plugs and switches have that. I said one thing would make it a five star product but I actually have two.... I wish you could control each plug separately and I wish the timer could be set to automatically start each time the switch is turned on instead of having to go into the app and set it each time. (or better yet, you could tell Alexa...."Alexa, turn on _____ and set it for one hour") That'd make it great!! ... show more

What I like: Easily pairs with, and controlled by iOS app. Alexa integration is flawless. Feels decently rugged. USB ports constantly energized. Does not impede access to the "other" outlet of a common duplex receptacle. What could be better: Both outlets are switched together and cannot be switched independently. OK, I confess: I am a Smart Home junkie. I have had a ball with employing smart switches and outlets in my home and enjoy the convenience offered. This is especially true during Christmastime, where the plethora of lighted decorations can be quickly and effortlessly switched on or off throughout the inside - and outside - of our home. The most common sort of smart plug I have is round, and the nature of the design typically makes accessing the "other" outlet of a common duplex receptacle difficult or impossible. This is where this latest smart outlet is pretty cool. Thanks to its horizontally oriented design, I can still access the second outlet of my duplex receptacle. And it is this exact use case that I was looking for here. I had no trouble pairing this device to the iOS app of choice. I wish the two outlets could be switched individually, as I would have gained increased flexibility with that approach. The USB ports are always electrically active. While i didn't attempt to measure supplied current, I did try the USB port with a iPad. I've seen an iPad can be finicky about supplied amperage, so this was a good test for me and it passed - it charged. Overall, this is a nice addition to my Smart Home toolset. Beware, you can’t control 2 outlets separately. Only ONE on/off button on app meaning, when you turn on/off, both outlet would be on/off. I am fine with that as I wanted to use this smart plug for my 2 LED plants lights and always use both lights at same time. I actually like this smart plug because my LED plants light have big bulky plug but both fit without problem. Pairing with smart life app is super easy. Plug in, click on/off button and “device to be added” message pops right up. That’s it. I control all my smart plugs on Smart life app and that is the most important thing when it comes to chose smart plug. It’s super easy to pair and use. Like I mentioned, just make sure to know that You can’t control 2 outlets separately. ... show more

This smart Wifi plug has two USB ports and two outlet plugs. The on/off will only do both plugs. They can't be separated from each other. The wifi plug works with the app or connects to Alexa or Google, easy to install. The outlet has a light indicator on the USB ports, which control the overall switch. This switch does not turn off the USB. They are always powered. Keep in mind they will only work on 2.4 GHz networks. ... show more
