I have my own smart home gateway (home assistant) and a compatible zigbee hub. Was looking for water main valve controller, there are many expensive ones out there, this one was no name generic device, price is just right so bought it. Pairing is easy, till the time its close to your zigbee controller, once paired, the range is ok. The fitting is ok, can be better. it wiggles a bit when its activated. It lost connection to the controller once, not sure why, so reliability can be a problem. ... show more

    • Hardware doesn't fit over Sharkbite 1/2" drain valve.

I had to use the screw clamp on the 1/2" pipe, but couldn't tighten it enough to keep the mechanism from twisting on the pipe and off the valve lever, so it wouldn't shut off the valve. To accomodate the Sharkbite Drain valve, the clamp is at the furthest point from the axis turning the lever. If you could clamp to the valve itself, there would be less yawning and slippage on the pipe. ... show more
