When I was in need of a new front door lock, I decided to step into the world of smart locks. The Smonet Smart Front Door Lock caught my eye, and I'm delighted that I gave it a try. The process of downloading the app and pairing the lock was remarkably straightforward, providing a sense of reassurance about its ease of use. The app's functionality and the lock's capabilities through the app are truly impressive. The ability to assign unique codes to each user, with the added flexibility of customizing them to work within specific time frames, is empowering. The fingerprint setup was a breeze and performed admirably. The electronic deadbolt functioned perfectly AFTER a quick fix. At first, it did not lock or unlock properly (yes, I had fresh batteries). I emailed the manufacturer/customer service, and they responded quickly with a series of steps to troubleshoot the problem. When that did not work, they requested a video of the malfunctioning lock. Immediately, they were able to identify the problem and provide the correct solution. The deadbolt is now in excellent working condition. Elaine (customer service) was patient, polite, and professional. Despite the time difference, I was able to get my issue resolved within 48 hours of my initial complaint. The fingerprint sensor is actually what prompted me to purchase the Smonet Smart Front Door Lock. It is very responsive and super easy to set up. This is a wonderful option for older users who may have difficulty remembering the number combination for the code. Overall, this is a great product for the price. Was concerned about installation, but it wasn't particularly difficult. Installed in a prehung door. Had to drill one small hole. Once batteries were in, and the lock tested, started giving out codes and teaching it fingerprints. Fingerprint reader is much less finicky about taking new fingerprints, and the process takes little time. No more trips to the hardware store to have keys cut! Administration is done via app, and you can see a history of who opened the door and when. You can also get notification of the door being opened. There is a "gateway" Puck that allows integration with home automation tech, and you can open and close the lock remotely (have it, but not installed yet). Requires 4 AA batteries that are not included. No idea yet on how long they will last. All in all this is a great locket. It is an easy recommendation. ... show more

*Edit: Going on two years with the device and haven’t had a single problem with it yet. * Easy to install and connect. Great quality. The customizable on amount of time auto lock and thumb print are my favorite features. Kids are frustrated with the auto lock because they can’t just run in and out all day, they have to stop get the door to open which has irritated them enough to not want to run in and out with their friends which I love! The only one down fall that I did not like is that it does not connect to the built in gateway hub in eero. I also wish the voice prompts were on the inside, not just the outside. It unlocks so smoothly and quietly that if I didn’t have a Ring connected to Alexa letting me know someone was at the front door, I would never know someone was coming in. ... show more

Set up was easy and the directions are great! What I love about this product is that you have options - a key, an IC card(fob), fingerprint, or just type in the code. No more hiding a key outside ! If a family member shows up or needs to get in my house they can I input the code on the key pad. Also it’s so beautiful ! It looks so great and sophisticated. I wish we did this sooner! I absolutely love this ! Worth every penny because the quality is so good! (Unfortunately my door needs to be painted so it does not give the lock justice - ) I highly recommend this! ... show more

The lock would be great if you could get some Customerservice and if it would stay connected. All I got was AI that wanted to tell me how it understood my frustration and continue to talk about my feelings. It's an AI it doesn't understand anything about human feelings. And it didn't get anything done. Still nothing from customer service. So here's my review it would be a great lock if you could get customer service and if it would stay connected. However it doesn't. And there's no customer support. When you call customer support they refer you back to the Amazon seller. Well I bought this two years ago. I'm trying to connect it Alexa but can't get it connected because for some reason the password works in the app but when I try to connect it to the automation the password doesn't work. Strange. How can I log into the app just fine with the password but it doesn't work when I try to login through the automation. And no customer service to follow up..... ... show more
