Update 11/15/22: the company reached out and sent me a replacement lock. The new unit works better than the previous one even though it was not the color of my original unit. I believe I may have received a defective one the first time. I appreciated the customer service because they could have just moved on from a bad review. I no longer use the fingerprint feature as it will not recognize my print, but my husband uses it. Bigger finger maybe? Do with that information what you will. Overall, I am satisfied with the new unit. Thank you! **************** The product is HORRIBLE. The cover for batteries does not close which causes them to come loose. The hardware that comes with the lock is completely flimsy and you will have to replace them. You need to put caulking around the perimeter if you want your lock to function at all after a little drizzle. The fingerprint feature is a joke. You will set off the alarm for a fingerprint you JUST registered. It has never worked. Amazon support is no help so you’re on your own if you have issues. Complete waste of money. This was a replacement for a more expensive lock that wasn’t as feature rich and as consistent as this. When I say consistent, I mean things like the fingerprint reader. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries, but ultimately it works. And I can assure you, that a couple of times it doesn’t work I think it just might be user error. :-) Like I said in the title, Melody, the customer service rep that I worked with was amazing! She was attentive, kind, and made sure that my needs were met as a customer. I know that the support hours are a little strange, but they are not here in the US, that doesn’t make a difference, it was an amazing customer experience! The media could not be loaded. This product is a very great masterpiece. It add beauty and elegance to my door because of the ascetic finish it has outside while inside it contain a powerful engine that work seamlessly. It was very easy to install but it is still a sophisticated lock that would be difficult for any intruder to break because of its many security fixtures. The fingerprint, keycard and the app all work perfectly. Adding a gateway to it makes it truly smart with voice lock and unlock. I’m not happy with the fact that I can’t lock or unlock the door remotely out of range. That was the whole point should I forget to lock my door I could lock it from anywhere in the country.
