I got this light to replace 1 of 5 in my back hallway. It’s a standard ranch home with the back hallway that runs the length of the house, and it is dark all the time. It had these old 4x6 recessed lights in it, but they were not very bright, even with LED bulbs installed. I needed a solution. In steps this light. As the old ones are recessed, I needed something that could cover the big hole in the ceiling from the odd shaped rectangle of the old light. This light is perfect at 12 inches, easily covering the space of the old light. I was able to put in some light mounting fixtures into the old, recessed housing after modifications, and then attached the mounting bracket to that. After all the modifications I had to make, the installation was easy. I hooked up the wires and slid it onto the bracket with ease, powered it up, and got it into pairing mode. The Tuya app the light needs to operate, and pair is easy to get and run, and is used by many devices like this. Once it was paired, my Alexa automatically found it, and made it useable through Alexa. I love being able to just tell Alexa to dim the lights, change the color, or on and off. So much simpler and more convenient. And man, oh man is my hallway brighter now. I absolutely love this light, and recommend this to anyone as an upgrade.

Had to turn on Nearby Device Permissions for Bluetooth... After this I was able to pair. So far the App behaves well. It hasn't worked from Google Home yet. Trying to sort that out.

I hope the three color temperature will be sticky. meaning rapid on and off would switch color, but regular on and off will stick to the last one used. However, it's not, every time you turn on and off, the color temp will rotate to the next. The install was easy, but once installed, it's hard to remove. Using force broke two out of the three hooks, though it's still usable as normal. Unlike what it claims, the light flickers, taking a video in slow motion on iphone totally reveals the light flicker, unlike what it claims. (I am sure true flicker LED won't show flickering in slow motion video) The good part is that the brightness matches what it claims, and the look is slim as it shows in the picture.

The light itself is really good (very bright) but it doesn’t come with a ground wire attached and there isn’t really a way to add one. The black and white wires need to be separated more so there is enough length to connect to the ceiling wires. Along with that, the mounting structure is just a plastic bracket that you can screw into your ceiling, mine happened to break when I was attaching the light on so I am using It with 3 prongs instead of 4. The last thing I would like to talk about is the app. I need the MAC address to be able to connect things to wifi and there is no way to see the MAC address for me, so I can’t use the backlight. Overall good light but every other thing for me was sort of a let down. If I didn’t have these problems I probably would rate it at least a 4/5.

The lights looks great and have a lot of potential but the quality may not be that great. First, i had a regular light previously for the last 8 years and never had a complaint, when i finally decided to out a smart light, this one takes 2 seconds to turn on after pressing the switch. Sometimes, it wouldn’t even turn on, i have to either wait or keep trying. It’s Randomly. I am not really satisfied with the customer service either
