Had this door for a month and very happy with it! Sturdy, it shuts tight and is a good price! The key-fob took a little time to adjust so it didn't randomly set the door off at further distances. (first battery died in 1 week. However, it lite up red when it was low, which was good to know before it failed) after we adjusted door setting, the battery seems good and at now over 3 weeks. Cats stay in and dog can go out when we are at work. It's quiet. You do need a little knowledge of how to use power tools and how to cut into a metal house door. Seal it with silicone along the edges. Not 100 percent weather proof, air will blow through the cracks a little... I will insulating the inside half of the door with a foam cover and velcro to keep our cold winter air out at night.

Don't wait your money - the fobs don't work. I have tried different fobs, different batteries, etc. The fobs burn through batteries and last less than 2 days so then the dog can't get through the door. What is the point of paying so much for a door I have to leave unlocked all the time anyway? But now I cut the door and have it installed so I have leave it vs. return. Note that I did test the fobs before installing - they "worked" but they aren't functional in the sense that it isn't realistic to change the battery daily and it isn't a defective fob b/c they are all like that.

Door doesn't swing back and close all the time. Which allows my cats, which I want to stay in, out. Battery dies fast. Has a delay. Would not get again.

Wish the remote were smaller for my small dog. Must read instructions each time just to reset. batteries last 1 month. my dog uses the door maybe 3 times a day. Get 2sets of rechargeable batteries and it works

It won’t do what you’re hoping it does. The door won't allow a specific pet entry and exit from the home. I paid for it, did not receive it for free, and it doesn’t work. Following the sensitivity setting instructions still won't allow for the door to unlock and lock properly. The sensor takes over 5 seconds to lock after the pet has left, which means that any other animals you have can simply follow your tagged animal out of the house. And then be locked outside. The door also unlocks even when the key is not nearby. I'm thankful I tested the product before cutting into my door/wall. Returning this item ASAP

I installed this dog door for my dog on my back door. I am really pleased with how easy it was to install and with how well this dog door functions. Nice durable build quality. Great easy for my dog to go outside when she needs to. The locking feature is really nice as I can lock the door when I don't want my dog to go outside. I tend to lock it when I go away and at night time.
