This rear bike light has a few more features than your typical blinking tail light. It has a fairly high level of brightness and a few different blink settings, but what sets it apart from similar lights is the "sensor" features. First, it senses motion, which means it can go from blinking mode to steady light when it senses you slowing down or coming to a stop (brake light mode). It's fairly sensitive, so you don't need to be speeding or drastically change speed to get it to work. Next, if you haven't moved for a bit, it will turn off to save battery. I'm not sure how I feel about this just yet, as it seems to turn off fairly quickly, which means it may shut off if you stop at a light for a minute or so, which isn't great for your visibility. It also has a light sensing mode that will turn the light on when the ambient light in the area is low (guessing this is an auto-night mode). I'm planning on using this with just the brake sensing turned on (not sure you can actually turn it off). It's super easy to mount and comes with an easy on/off rubber strip and a more "semi-permanent screw mount for your saddle. The shape of it is nice an uninstrusive as it follows the length of your saddle tube. ... show more

I've only used for a short period of time, but very happy with this bike light. I commute via bike for work the majority of the year, including dark nights. Love that this bike light is larger and bright, while still streamline. Easy to toggle through the light options.. still understanding how the auto brake works (need a friend behind me to report how well it works!). Seems to hold a good charge though I'll try to update in a few months after more use. LOVE that the bike mount stays out then you can firmly twist the light on/off to prevent it being stolen - feels very secure but much faster than other removable methods. ... show more
