    • Quality NVME protection on the go
Machined from brushed aluminum, this is a quite sturdy and well designed product. The casing is comprised of two components that slot together and are then held in place with a single screw. The included screwdriver quickly and easily allows for the buyer to open the case and insert any of the various sized NVME drives currently on the market. The drives themselves are held in place via another single screw after being slotted into the attached connector. Reassembly is then a snap, as after screwing the drive in place the two pieces slot back together and the screw which keeps things together is reinserted. With a now fully assembled drive, the user has the option of using a USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to USB-A cable which is included to allow for easy use on any system. Being a Gen 3.2 device, transfer speeds are generally excellent and often more dependent on the components you have chosen to utilize in your pc and nvme drive then they are with the cables/transfer capabilities of the enclosure itself. As this is aluminum, this drive is sturdy and can easily be tossed into any bag without worry of damage. That said, it can/will heat up to temps which are hot to the touch if adequate thermal cooling isn't utilized. This enclosure has no fans or ventilation of any sort, and so users will want to be mindful of this and the heat levels that may be reached if transferring large amounts of data. All in all this was an excellent product and precisely what I needed to swap out my 500gb MS NVME that came with my Beelink Ser6 Pro 7735hs for a Crucial 2TB drive instead. Using Macrium Reflect allowed me to clone the 500gb drive to the new 2TB drive and then save the 500GB drive as a back up or format it to use as a 500gb drive on it's own. Since it does what it's supposed to and it's very robust I give it a high score. The lack of 5 stars is the fiddly securement screw for the drive. Luckily they give you extras (at the time of this writing). For me this is going to become an oversized thumb drive because I'm giving up on NVME drives for a boot drive from now on. I can maybe salvage the one I have left as an external oversized thumb drive but that's it. Solid product, but it would be useless if I didn't just happened to have a leftover NVME. ... show more

    • SSK Aluminum M.2 NVME SATA SSD Enclosure--ideal solution
This SSK Aluminum M.2 NVME SATA SSD Enclosure is an ideal solution for an external drive, especially with the cost of NVME drives falling like rain. I researched the brand name since I wasn't familiar with it. SSK seems to be a major player in the market. This enclosure is very well made (aluminum) and has a pleasing design. The feel in your hand is nice--no sharp edges and easy to hold. It works like a charm without hesitation. As for speed, that will depend on your USB port, but it is fast on USB 2 and USB 3. I have no complaints about performance. My purchase decision was based on desire to use NVME drives. The price below $20 might make you hesitate. But the quality and excellent performance convince one that the product is an excellent value. I use a 2 TB Samsung 970 EVO SSD with no problems. And, I just ordered another identical enclosure and drive. Installation is simple. Just be sure to read the instructions and work where you will not drop the very tiny screws and lose one in a crack. You will need to gently press the drive down a little as you slide it back into the enclosure. I find no negative factors with this enclosure. ... show more

    • Works Great but Can Get Hot
I used this to clone several Nvme Pcie drives with success. However, I noted that when I cloned a Crucial P5 Plus drive the unit got extremely hot. A better design would have it with cooling ribs or something that allows some air flow. Another issue with the design is that you have to connect a female screw terminal to the unit in order to have the screw that holds down the drive work. But it is worth the price. ... show more
