These lights are marketed to a younger audience with the prospects of adding that dope early 2000's custom import scene underglow lighting to their bicycle, increasing their visibility, safety, and aesthetic appeal. However, even if you're a jaded adult cyclist, there's more than meets the eye and there may be something in it for you. If you have a cargo rack on your bicycle, this is the perfect taillight. Mounts easily and securely to the rear with two zip ties, and lasts long enough for multiple night rides. Stuff two AAA's in a Ziploc bag, put it in your pannier bag, and enjoy the piece of mind that you can quickly swap them out without tools should the light start to die out on you. Lighting options include solid light and three flashing modes of increasing frequency. The LEDs shine bright, and in a horizontal position facing directly behind, is nearly impossible to miss in the dark. I've had a handful of these lights since middle school, and the first few did succumb to corrosion after lots of use and sitting exposed to the winter elements. However, the two I have now (the oldest being a few years old) still work fine despite exposure to the elements. I highly recommend installing with the battery cover facing down so as to drain any water that enters. This makes replacing batteries a little more cumbersome, but it's still very easy and quick to do on the side of the road, and the batteries last surprisingly long for only two AAAs so unless you do consistent riding in dark/inclement conditions, you shouldn't have to replace them too often. I've had the same batteries in mine for a few months, and they still shine bright after some hours of night riding. Even if I had to replace the whole unit every year, it would be well worth the ~$12 for the utility, ease of installation and use, cheap price, reliability, battery life, and visibility. Brightz is making a mistake by not marketing their red bar light to commuters and bikepackers considering how perfectly this fits on a rack. ... show more

Purchased for my Schwin Trike which is charcoal colored and can be difficult to see, added this extra light bar to the bottom of the handle bar to make it easier to see me riding. Too many close calls with vehicles! Love the colors

I purchased 2 of these lights, multi color and red to place on my rolling walker. They were very easy to install on the front of my walker and on one of the rear bars. The lights are very bright! I am visible at dawn, dusk, and at night. The one on the front is angled so that it acts much like a headlight and it does not disappoint!! The road infant of me is illuminated bright enough for me to safely walk the dog and for others to see me. I would love for the company to create a range of lights that can be used on more wheelchairs and rolling wheelchairs. As generation x ages (yeah that's me) we are not aging without a fight! Plus, having the ability to attach lights to the thicker wheel mounts would be amazing!!! ... show more

I load the kids bikes up with of 3 LED bars along with super bright head and tail lights, it does its job. When we go out on rides in downtown LA they are CLEARLY seen with all the flashing lights. Coupled with the loudest horn I could find on Amazon, they are in a much better and safer position when dealing with clown drunks, zombie tourists, blind Uber drivers that park illegally in crosswalks, etc. and tend to take off not looking if kids are crossing risking their lives. I suggest don't buy 1. Buy at least 2. I say get 3! One for the handle bars, one for the main frame, amd one for the rear frame. You can't help BUT see them riding along honking this insanely loud horn to get them to move out the way. They get compliments from others for the unique set-up all the time. Much better than those lights that are wired in and out of the spokes. ... show more
