Wow, air purifiers sure have come a long way. I just got mine today. I could not pass on this deal. I used a different brand purifier, the HATHASPACE HSP001, i do not know if i can say the name or not, but wanted others to know which one i am comparing it with. I changed filters on my previous air purifier, however, it just was not working as good. So when i saw this MatonC and the sale price, i just could not help myself. And wow, now i am glad i took that leap and got this one. With having outdoor smoke and fires in my area and a neighbor that smokes like a dragon, i needed something better than the air purifier i was using. First off, everything arrived in perfect condition. It was very easy to set up. Plus i like that this MatonC brand says 3500 ft. So i know it would work fine in my small apartment. After i turned the purifier on, i would say that probably about less than an hour i have noticed a difference already. I did not notice any more smoke smell and the air seemed more clear inside my apartment. I started it on the Auto at first and then now i increased the fan speed, but just because i wanted to see what this purifier can really do and kick out. I also like the display that shows the air quality and shows a constant reading and then you can also turn the light on and off, so probably will turn the light off when i go to work and turn the light back on when i come back home, but will leave the purifier running to keep the air quality good. Now let's get down to the phone app. Did i really need it? Probably not, but it was just an extra feature that i am choosing to put on my phone and also i like that it gives me the quality of my air and i can check or change from anywhere i am on the phone. I think i am using the phone app mainly because i am having fun with this air purifier. I have the purifier also set right in the middle part of my living room area. The phone app was not difficult for me to setup either, i know i have seen some complain about that, but i did not have any issues, once i signed up, just make sure during setup that you have your bluetooth on. And right now my air quality shows excellent in the blue color zone, however, the app shows good air and the purifier shows excellent air quality. But my nose is the judge in this case and knows that it is being filtered. I am really glad that i purchased this air purifier and hope others have as good of luck as what i am here. I just wanted others to see my review, and for the price, all i can say is, you have nothing to lose except bad quality air. I have heard others say and mention about the noise level, and to be honest, yes, it makes a little noise, but it is like white noise and i find it relaxing, and i know that the purifier is doing its job. The purifier cannot filter the air if it does not make a little noise and move the air. So all in all, i am quite happy with my purchase and just wanted to say thank you for such a great deal.

I bought two of these, one for my upstairs condo and one for my downstairs . I also purchased extra filters to have on hand when I need to change them. So far this has been a game changer for my allergies as I can feel an immediate difference in the air quality.

This would be an all around solid air purifier were it not for one simple mistake. The air sensor is on the front behind the main cover. It has an air pocket which is meant to let it see particles. They probably did that so that the machine wouldn't speed up and slow down with every little sneeze (I have other machines from the machine manufacturer and that can be an issue). The issue is that the location selected creates a partial vacuum because of the airflow creating low pressure when the machine is on. The result is that it doesn't detect particles nearly at all. That's not a fatal flaw. The filter is still good, the sleep mode is silent, the wifi function is very good. It simply won't be as responsive as it probably could be. That said, I long ago figured out that the automation functions on the machines effectively keep a machine at slow speed after the initial clean up of the home. At that point, maintaining low particles takes very little effort unless or until there are active contributors to particles (cooking, smoking, etc). If you have one of those contributors, then it's probably better to speed up when you start cooking/emitting anyhow. Because of how long it takes the air to cycle through your house, the purifier could benefit from being speed up in advance to bring the polluted air toward it faster. If you waited until a sensor saw the pollution, then it's spread through the whole house until it finally got to the purifier and its sensor. That's why the sensor issue isn't a death knell. A good machine can still be a good machine even when one issue stands in the way of being a very good machine.
