If you need a solid V mount this is a good option. Its super easy to attach to you rails and hold your batteries tightly. Ive had zero issues with the design. The weight is nice to counterbalance your lens and camera.

I love SmallRig components and they do an excellent job at camera cages and support structures. This V-mount plate is a perfect example of SmallRig engineering. The mount is built extra sturdy (the aluminum makes it strong). I easily mounted a K&F V-mount battery to it so I can say it's compatible with the majority of V-mount batteries. I picked up a SmallRig dual tube mount system to attach this V-mount a few inches behind my camera to balance the weight of the battery against the camera and so I can still open the LCD screen on the camera and articulate it in the directions I want. For what you get, the price is actually good (definitely not too expensive). I recommend this mount.

Great bang for the buck! The release button is a little stiff at times, you really have to push the battery down hard. It doesn’t really make a *click* into place, so it can fall off at times if you don’t smash it into place. But sometimes that’s just the batteries fault. Other than that, great piece of gear to add to your rig, love the versatility.

I was thinking of spending more than 2x as much to have one of the plates that can either flip back or slide back, but opted to save the cash and have it on the rails (which allows to slide it around). It also can be mounted vertical or laying down so it does the job. Comes with multiple screws for mounting, and it’s very quick to attach the rod mount to the plate. Seems durable and strong. The best thing is that I actually use K&F V Mount batteries, they’re cheaper and have 2 USB-C ports instead of one. And it clipped right on, and had no wiggle (or minimal), meaning you won’t bump it against you and accidentally disengage it. It’s the perfect size, good weight, and aesthetically looks good.
