With this clamp and the included weights, I am able to use my Sony A7 III with lenses that I truly thought would be impossible to balance on my Ronin SC—and I can even under-sling the camera! Here's how I use this clamp: • Looking at the back of camera, push it far enough left that the eyepiece clears the back motor. • Balance the camera front/back (you can push it further back without hitting the eyepiece). • Balance the tilt axis by moving the camera up or down. • Clamp on some weights to the right arm of the gimbal and balance the roll axis. • Don't forget to also balance the pan axis! This clamp will make the gimbal much heavier on the right side. Your camera should be off to the left and the clamp should be off to the right, balancing the gimbal. It's a weird looking setup but it works. I give this 4 stars because the rubber material on the clamp has definitely worn away the finish on my Ronin SC. Not great, but it's a small price to pay to be able to use lenses like the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8! ... show more

The counter balance weights are good but there is not a lot of room for precise balancing. I wish they would make a set with a few different sizes and weights in comparison to the two big heavy weights. Good quality and idea but could use a little more versatility.

I got these to balance my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 6K Pro on my Ronin-S. They fit perfect, and did the job. Used them with the Lanparte Offset Camera Plate. Together they made balancing my Blackmagic easier than balancing my C100 that I used to have on the Ronin-S.

    • Good build quality. Great for a counter-weight
I used these weights to help balance my Blackmagic pocket cinema 4k. It really does help and was easy to attach to the Ronin S. I also attached the heavier weight to my Tilta cage to add some weight to the right side as my left side has a battery/follow focus adapter. Eventually I will get another handle on the right side but if that doesn't counter the weight these weights will definitely help. The build quality is strong and sturdy. Worked great in balancing the crane 3 lab with sigma 18-35mm lens. I needed to counter balance using the follow focus with servo motors and it did the trick! The clamping device was useless because I just screwed the 100g counterweight into my small rig cage. Works perfectly!

Clamp/brace did the job, the 200g or 100g weights were not needed to balance this gimbal.. took me all day(literally) but I now feel like I’ve mastered balancing the BMPCC4k on the Ronin SC and it does WORK JUst. FINE..mind you, the weight of my setup is less than or equal to 2lbs less than 50% of max payload..why would anyone say this does not work. It ABSOLUTELY DOES ... show more
