I originally found this cage after watching a YouTube short comparing the older small rig cages versus the New Black Mambas and how the Canon R6 Mark II would not be able to actually fit in the old cages and was quite upset. Luckily, it only took a couple of minutes to find the black mom cage that I was looking for on Amazon. I decided to wait a couple of days before buying it but it ended up being sold out for a couple of days and I did not feel like waiting weeks for one to be shipped. Fast forward a couple of days later, I find that it's being listed on sale with a coupon and I immediately snatched it up. I would have bought it at full price regardless but the fact that I was able to save about 25 bucks made it much more worth it. After I purchased it, I decided to see how much the original small rib cage for the R6 Mark II would go for and it was just under a dollar less about the coupons that were available at the time. The cage does its job exceptionally well and I'm glad to have it in my camera bag now. Now I only wish they made one for the Canada R6 Mark II plus the BGR 10 battery grip. I have a feeling they do but I have not found it yet.

Perfect fit and function, very secure adds tons of versatility even if you're not a videographer. It protects your camera from bumps and scratches. I liked it so much, I bought another one for my backup body.

I know, all cages are expensive. There was a cheaper option, but the reviews pointed toward this one. This is incredibly form fitting, and fits securely. If you need to attach more stuff than this provides for, you need to rethink your setup. I normally wouldn't be a fan of leaving a cage on this type of camera for personal use, but this cage may stay put. I don't mind spending the extra $40.

If you're familiar with small rig cages, you get what you paid for. And it's great! I have one minor issue with mine. I was using this for a wedding shoot, and I felt the rough edges of the cage where you hold the camera shutter button in the afternoon. I wish they softened the edges a bit. Other than that, the built-in arca swiss came in clutch and the locking points came in clutch as well.
