As a disclaimer, While I recognize the convenience of Keurig style coffee machines, I hate k-cups because they always taste under extracted and weak. However, I have gotten decent results with the “use your own coffee” k-cup adapters. Since one of these adapters are included with the unit, that’s what I chose to test with. With that out of the way, let’s get to the review. If you regularly travel, you might come across one of these little single serve coffee makers in your hotel room. The build quality is great for what this is. The spring lid is solid and nothing really feels cheap or poorly made. Even the k-cup adapter has a hinged lid and a solid build quality. My first thought was that this would be great for a rental property/AirBnB. The instructions are printing into the top lid as well. The first test was to see how hot the water gets. In a perfect world, you want the water to be at about 195-205 degrees when it hits the coffee bed. Since I didn’t have a probe small enough to fit in the brew chamber, I used a known accurate meat thermometer. I then ran 2 brews without coffee. The first run was to get the internal brew basket up to temp so I could get an accurate reading on the second run. The thermometer report back at a temp between 190.2 and 194.6. Not Bad! This is something I can work with. The next part was measuring the length of brew time which was 1:45 – 2:00 minutes. I measured the k-cup adapter to hold 20g of medium roast coffee. With 12 oz water you would it a 1:17 coffee/water ratio and dropping the water down to 11oz gives you something closer to the magical 1:16 ratio. I proceeded with 11oz of water, used a fine (NOT espresso) grind on my beans to combat the short brew time. Wouldn’t you know, you actually can make a decent cup of coffee on a Keurig! As a side note, I did try an espresso grind and it came out noticeably weaker because it did not extract properly. The key is to find a grind size between espresso and drip. So what’s the take away from this? If you like k-cups, this performs as well as any other Keurig style brewer. It heats up fast and is consistent. If you want more out of your coffee, use the included adapter and fine ground coffee. If you don’t have a grinder, you can always have it ground at the store. HOWEVER, regular pre-ground (drip) coffee will most likely be too weak and under extracted. ... show more

ok little machine what i dont like is that it doesnt know when to stop, so if you add too much water or have a small cup ecpect some spills easy to clean and easy to use overall, for the money it does its job well
