This is nice to have for kids as well as adults. You could use it in lieu of rock, paper, scissors game as a decider ("if I win then we go/do/eat/watch/etc....if you win then we go/do/eat/watch/etc.") as the game play is fast!

    • Fun With Lots of Action Though Pucks Can Go Flying
This review is for "Small Fast Sling Puck Game - Test Your Speed and Accuracy with This Fast Action Super Winner Wooden Air Hockey Board Game - Guaranteed Fun for Family Game Night or Party with Friends" with the current price of $19.99 (plus there is currently a 10% off coupon). We like this small bungee puck game. It's an interesting take on air hockey, without the need for electricity. The wooden board is decent quality and the art work is good. It comes with 2 bungee strings attached and 2 extra bungee strings. There are a total of 20 "pucks" which are thick wooden tokens painted black. 10 of the pucks are to be extras, as it seems each player should use just 5 pucks at a time. Something kind of funny my daughter pointed out was that 5 of the extra backup pucks came in a nice black velvet pouch and the other 5 are just in a clear plastic zip bag. No pouch for you, like one player is chopped liver! The bungee strings do stretch good and it does take some skill to get the puck through the slot in the middle, especially when there is the other player trying to do the same thing. The action can get loud and wild depending on who is playing! You might need those backup pucks. It is fun to play, and it can be played by just one person. It can get a bit frustrating if you keep missing the slot, but your aim and skills get better as you play. * The one thing that I do want to make sure to note is this: Sometimes the wooden pucks come up and fly off the board and since they are hard they could hit someone in the eye or face, so it might not be the best fit for smaller children to play or to even be close by when watching other people play. The recommended age on the back of the box says not for children under 3, but that is mainly due to the small pucks being a possible choking hazard, but as I said, with the pucks flying sometimes it might not be the best for even some children over 3. ... show more

The game is entertaining, and easy to figure out how to play. The pucks are well made, and the board itself is built well. It includes spare rubber bands in case they wear out or are damaged.
