  • Airflow is great: I gently pushed the puck from one side ...
Our family loves this table. The lights effects are coordinated with the built-in sound and music, and turn the color of the side that just scored a goal. It gives the basement an arcade feel. Airflow is great: I gently pushed the puck from one side and watched it glide back and forth the length of the table at least 3 times on its own. My 15-yr-old son helped me move the table top across the hardwood floor and down the stairs using the forearm forklift ($19). Staircase is carpeted so we were able to slide it down carefully. I was able to move and finish assembly in under 3 hours (power tools helped). Assembly instructions were straight forward and table is stable. After assembly, son and wife helped me flip it over using 3 chairs for leverage. Pushers are rechargeable using microUSB cable, but the lighted pucks last 7 hours on button cell batteries 2016. I am glad I purchased this. *Update 6/21/2018: This table has held up to groups of kids age 8 thru 16. The included lighted pucks are now broken, but the regular puck works just fine. I noticed some chipping on the inside edge of the table, probably due to the 16-yr-old boys, which I easily fixed by covering it with $3 of plastic (5/8 in. x 5/8 in. x 8 ft. Self-Stick Plastic Corner Guard - Residential @ Home Depot). Sound, lights, and air all still work great. *Update 7/3/2019: everything is still working, and the table is still used regularly when the kids have their friends over. *Update 7/23/2025: wow, everything is still working! I probably need to youtube how to improve airflow, as dust and kids spilling drinks on the table has slightly degraded performance. ... show more

  • Table is fantastic, now that I fixed it
Table is fantastic, now that I fixed it. The delivery went well, driver was very nice. Got the package in the house without problem with four adults, and that's when the fun started. Opening the package we found a piece of the lower support broken off. No big deal as you'll never see it. Put the whole table together, flipped over, again with four adults, and saw a corner piece broke. Took the corner piece off and found the whole end rail was loose. Looked as though all the screws were ripped out. I'm handy, so at this point i figured it was easier just to fix. We turned the game on just to make sure everything else was ok and ran into more trouble. The game would not register goals on the side that was loose. I decided I needed a beer and sleep before blowing up... With a clear head the next morning, spent three hours taking the table partially apart, cutting, splicing, re-soldering the sensor, re-assembling with new screws, and gluing the corner piece back together. All the screws on the end rail were bent. There was a wire broken off on the sensor. I had to actually relocate the sensor as it wasn't capable of fitting in the cutout area it was designed for, which means it probably never worked right out of the factory. Again, glad I'm handy and have a variety of tools. Otherwise the three hours would've taken all day. Never had a problem with Amazon orders before, might stick to brick and mortar for higher end purchases next time! ... show more

  • This table was better then expected. This table was better then expected.
This table is great! I read lots of reviews on different tables, and since the reviews were mostly good, and the table looked good in the pictures, I decided to take a chance on this table. I am glad I did. I paid for the any room in your house delivery, and to my surprise they actually delivered it inside to my game room. The table came unbroken, and without any real damage. The directions were very easy to understand and with the help of two other guys, we were able to have it assembled and standing on its feet in no time. The table is heavy so you will need three or four guys to lift it. The table looks great and works very well. The table sounds are loud, but it doesn’t bother me because it’s a lot of fun to play. Of course, the table is made of pressboard, but it is solid, and you can’t really expect solid wood at this price. The only small issue I have, and you must understand we hit the puck pretty hard and fast, is that the inside edge of the table where the puck impacts has cracked slightly in a few places. This doesn’t bother me because we do play hard, and it hasn’t really impacted the play and we have used the table quite a bit since we got it. For the money you can’t beat this table. ... show more

  • Just like in the arcade
Overall, I like this product. Yes, little plastic pieces keep chipping off the corners and sides. But am I the only one that expected this after seeing the same thing happen air hockey tables I played on at arcades? They are plastic they are going to chip. Not sure about seeing the pics of large pieces breaking off, that is obviously way too much. Butt after a few weeks of solid, hard play with adults and teens, we have only seen the little pieces coming off. Maybe we are not being rough in the same way, maybe we have gotten lucky, or maybe it just has not happened yet. I will mention though that the puck does fly off the table semi-frequently, but again, that always happened to me at the arcade too? Assembly was fine. I did not do it all at once so no estimate on total time really. I will say they are not kidding about needing maybe 6 people to flip it when done. However, let me share a "cheat" here. So I would absolutely say it must be assembled upside down sitting on the table top. But once it was fully assembled there, all I had at the time was me and my 16 year old son and 14 year old daughter. There was just no way to flip it without putting too much pressure on the legs and possibly ripping them out. So after assembly was completed, I removed the screws connected the legs to the top, lifted the legs up and flipped those upright. Then my son and I picked it up while my daughter lined it up from underneath and sat it down on the legs. Switch spots with my daughter to do a little more precision lining up and put the screws in while they lifted slightly to line up the holes. Worked perfectly for us, but it did take some effort. If you happen to have 6 adults just standing around then definitely flipping would be easier, but we were too impatient to gather the required adults so we did it this way. The legs are properly cross braced after assembly (though again I say it is required to assemble them upside down attached to the table) and are safe enough to carefully flip on their own. Game play is fun. The hexagonal light up provides the most fun for us as it is not always predictable when it hits the side. It will sometimes shoot in unexpected directions depending on how it was spinning. It is hard playing with the (boring?) circular pucks after using the hexagon. I think the screws in the hexagon are coming loose as the lights are flickering on it, have not checked yet. I have been toying with the idea of just spray painting it a bright red color and leaving the screws and cover off. The led lights in the table and pushers are fun, the pushers have not been charged since the first time and seem to be lasting forever. My teens definitely prefer to dim the lights and play full led mode (which is why I hesitate with painting the hexagon). The scoreboard as functioned perfectly for us, but we have had maybe 5 scores not register out of probably 200+ scores. Annoying, but I am reluctant to fix it yet possibly causing the sensor to become more loose overall and fixing it more often. So we just pop the puck in again to register and move on. Gameplay is pretty fast with the hexagon puck while noticeably slower with the regular plastic circular pucks which move slower. We are using it daily down in our game room so it definitely keeps us coming back. Our game room is filling up with other games so I was saddened to find I would have to "settle" on a smaller table to not interfere with other gaming areas. But having played on it a lot I would say that I don't even notice and that this 7.5 foot table is a great size to play on. I would recommend this air hockey machine. It is possibly the most abused type of arcade game you are going to buy as you slam pucks back and forth at each other. I went into this purchase knowing that and expecting chipping/maintenance problems going forward, so I received what I was expecting. Don't misunderstand me, I am not an apologist, I hold companies accountable for quality. But with the nature of an air hockey table, there are certain things I expect to have to maintain going forward and the plastic side rails are one of those things. When the puck comes up off the table and leaves a bruise on the back of my finger I know how the plastic rails feel. ... show more

  • Worth every penny!! Worth every penny!!
For the price point this thing is phenomenal. Yes it’s made from some cheap materials here and there but nothing that will stop you from getting years of enjoyment out of it. Just like with anything if you play too hard you’re going to break even the best of tables. Now for assembly this thing comes almost completely built. THIS THING IS HEAVY!!! Somehow just me and my wife got this thing down in the basement. Had to modify part of the wall lol but that’s a fix for later 🤣. So to make your life easier when building this thing don’t flip it over to build it. I was able to build it myself by propping up one side at a time with either saw horses or in my case using my still in box arcade machines. I installed one end of the table legs and tightened them about 90% just enough wiggle room to join the cross section once the other side is propped up and legs installed. With one side with the legs on the ground and the other legs installed but still hanging slightly above the ground I installed the crossmembers and tightened everything down. Pulled out the supports so the table can stand on its own legs. Then there’s only a few more parts to be installed after that which can be easily installed. I feel like a lot of the joints can be damaged from trying to flip this table if installed upside down like the instructions say. Hopefully this helps! ... show more

  • Cost us $3000 in addition to purchase price
We bought this along with the Amazon delivery and set-up service. It was the WORST experience I've ever had with getting a large item delivered and assembled. It took almost a month to finally get it. We'd planned a graduation event for the kids school and it was centered around an Air Hockey tournament theme. Promise after promise from Amazon that they would show up, they would set it up, it would be fine. After 5 attempts, we FINALLY got a crew that was not lazy and they unloaded it and brought it in. Once unboxed, they discovered the glass top was cracked so they had to take it back and order a new one. Two more delivery attempts. The freight company had the laziest drivers! They claimed it was a 3 person job, not a 2 person job. For some reason, they kept sending out only 2 people. finally, the warehouse sent it but rather than sending it with the 'big and bulky' team, they sent it with a regular Amazon delivery driver. Naturally, he couldn't unload it so instead of getting it back to the right place, he cancelled the order altogether! So we had to start the process all over again. It finally got here and when it did, the manufacturer completely misdrilled the skirting and corners so the delivery/set up team, being the lazy people they are, couldn't make the adjustments necessary to assemble it. We were going to lose another $500 in party deposits if we sent it back again so we had to hire our contractor to redrill the components and assemble the table. More money we lost out of pocket. We've had it for a month now and the cheap particle board that its made of has big chuncks that have been chipped out by the puck hitting the sides (it IS a air hockey table but I guess they didn't use materials that would withstand a puck hitting the sides), the soundcard is shorting out and sounds like an old static-y AM radio and just today, the air motor has stopped working. After spending hours on the phone with Amazon and losing $3000 in party cancellation and rescheduling fees as well as having to pay a contractor, Amazon was only able to afford to compensate us $100. ... show more

  • Went on sale and never looked back! Went on sale and never looked back!
We waited for this table to go on sale, and when Amazon dropped the price by $180, we jumped on it. So glad we did. It arrived within a week. If you have to have it brought up or down stairs, pay to have it done by the delivery person for $20. This package is nearly 300lbs. Assembly took about 2 hours; however, you do need 4 adults to properly flip it over when it’s completed. The air hockey table is a huge hit. The air flow is great, led lights look amazing, and the scoring system with different timing settings is fun. But it’s the night play that really sets this table apart. My 2 yr old loves. My 14 yr loves it! We almost settled for the 6’ version of this. Best decision we made was opting for the larger version. If you have the room, don’t skimp out. This table is a great value. Super fun. And the night play really stands out. I also purchased the extended 3 year warranty for under $60. Peace of mind. Hope this helps. Enjoy! ... show more
