In my testing, I found that the machine consistently produced a smooth, velvety slush within the advertised 30-45 minute window, and the 88-ounce capacity is perfect for entertaining a small group without having to run multiple small batches, which is a common limitation of blender-style makers. I genuinely appreciated the LED display and the 5-level thickness control, which allowed me to fine-tune the texture from a soft, shake-like consistency for a frappe to a firmer, classic slushy for a juice mix. While the convenience of the one-touch operation is a huge plus, there is a minor learning curve when it comes to the required ingredients. We've got a pool and a poolhouse, so that means we need to server refreshing beverages. Some time just juice like things and some times with a bit of "plus" added in. I got this and immediately set it up and filled it up with lemonade to give it a test. I've run it for 5 days straight - just to really test it out. It chilled to the perfect slushy in about 45 minutes on a day that was 85 degrees - and this was outside in the shade. It super simple to set up and I spent more time thinking about what setting to put it on than anything else. Pour the juice into the top and just wait. It's got a ton of settings for thickness based on contents. Sugar and alcohol are the two biggest changers. The instruction book is one of the best I've seen in a long time. Set up, and a whole slew of instructions on how to figure out which setting to use. It's kind of cool to see the science behind the curtain. Cleaning was pretty easy. Pour out the contents, pour some water in, select the Clean button and away you go. The top comes off with a quick flip of a lever. The rest comes off and you slide the condensation drawer out. It's bigger than I thought but not large either. If you register it comes with a two year warranty - that's cool. The nice thing is that this is not a mixer, no ice needed, just add liquid. You can do soda, mixed drinks and even beer and wine. Although a wine slushy does not appeal to me.... Overall: This is great. Simple, easy to use and easy to clean. Some very cool settings to get pretty much what you want to get out of it. Great instruction manual with some recipes and guidance to make you the top mixologist at your next party.

This is an awesome slushie machine. I think I like it better than the other one that I have. My husband took that one over for his mixed drinks so my son and I didn't get to make drinks for ourselves very often. My son loves the coffee frappes and I love like the orange julius top drinks and this does it perfectly. You do have to make sure that you follow directions and that you have enough sugar content for it to slush up right but I'm very happy with my order. I love it! My son loves it!
