Lightly insulated, puffer jacket. The poly insulation is pretty thin, so it would be perfect when it's only a little chilly. There is no hood. There is a total of 4 pockets as expected - two roomy inside "cargo" pockets, as well as the usual 2 outer zippered pockets. All 3 zippers (the front main zipper and the 2 pocket zippers) operate smoothly. Overall it's a nice jacket, priced a little high for a basic jacket.

This is basically a standard, lightly insulated, puffer jacket. The poly insulation is pretty thin, so it would be perfect when it's only a little chilly - not for when it's very cold. There is no hood. There is a total of 4 pockets as expected - two roomy inside "cargo" pockets, as well as the usual 2 outer zippered pockets. All 3 zippers (the front main zipper and the 2 pocket zippers) operate smoothly, but they are not YKK zippers. My size S jacket weighed 308g (10.9 oz) on a digital scale, including the (almost weightless) draw-string stuff sack that came with it. When the jacket is stuffed into the sack, it formed a cylinder 9" long and 4.5" in diameter. (It could be further compressed if needed. But it might not be advisable as the poly fill would not bounce back as well as a more expensive down fill.) Although the Amazon website says "Shell & Lining: 100% Polyester, Fill: 100% Polyester", the tag on the actual product says Shell & Lining 100% *Nylon* with 100% polyester fill. Not sure if it makes much of a difference, but just so you know. I have no particular complaint about the product. I find it a standard lightly insulated puffer jacket for when it's a bit chilly, and the trim fit on me (I chose S for this - my usual size is in between S and M) means I could even wear it under a heavier jacket when it gets really cold. Overall I find it to be a likable, useful lightweight jacket, but it's certainly not a high end product. To be honest the current asking price feels a little high for what it is. For that reason I'm giving it 4 stars.

It’s not amazing but not horrible. There’s no hood and it’s very light, but it serves its purpose. Good for a mildly chilly morning or for light rain but not for heavily cold weather or hard rain.

Hello, I received this item as part of the Vine program in exchange for my honest review of the item. The Slowtown men's lightweight jacket arrived very quickly, within one day. It fits exactly as expected, and is made of lightweight, durable material. It has inside pockets which are nice, and tucked away. I will have to wait until we get cooler weather again to see just how effective it is in colder weather, but for now I am very pleased with this item. The only reason for four stars instead of five, is because the jacket was a little thinner than I expected it to be, which is just my own interpretation of the listing.
