I run very very cold. I wore this with a fleece liner in 30 degrees at night for a 45 minute walk and my torso was very warm. It's a thick quality coat. The hood is super thick and warm. I'm 5'5 140 lbs and the medium fits with a fleece liner and sweatshirt, but it was snug in the shoulders. Without a fleece liner, beyond comfortable and loose with just a sweatshirt. But it's fitted very flattering also, without being tight or restrictive. Very high quality for the price. I bought the maroon and black lining-beautiful color. If you have broad shoulders and wear alot of layers, you may want to order an extra size up to test it out for tightness. I looked at so many warm jackets and when you look at the review photos, the coats look quite different than what you see on the model. This jacket runs true to the photo on the model. Nice material, a nice fit, and attractive. I am 5'8 and 138 pounds. The large fits great even with a heavy sweater under it. I live in Texas, the other day I had to work outside all day and the temperatures never went above 35 degrees. The jacket is lightweight and sewn very well, plus the zip pockets are warm. Not too long nor too short and it looks really cute. The hood does not tuck in. For reference I am 5’5”, 160 lbs and a 38dd. I usually wear a large or extra large jacket and this I ordered in a large. The shoulders fit perfectly but the chest area does not leave any room if you’re planning on wearing any kind of bulky sweater underneath. But for a long sleeve shirt or a form fitting sweater it would be perfectly fine. Also, I was a little disappointed that the khaki color was closer to a light brown than a khaki, however I’m keeping it because I still think it will go with jeans or black pants just fine. ... show more

I bought the white in XXL because of the reviews to size up. It’s big on me, especially the stomach area, but I decided to keep it because of the warnings about the shoulders being too tight in your normal size and the shoulders in this are just fine. I normally wear an XL, size 16 in tops and jeans and dress pants, 5’7”, 215#. Very classy jacket with a lovely line—regardless of being on the big side and being white, it’s still very slimming, the cut is just perfect. Would totally buy again, might try my normal size but am kind of afraid to give up my breathing room. Wore it yesterday in 20 degrees and it was warm. The best part about it is the furry collar that zips up around your neck eliminating the need for a scarf and the furry lined hood that’s a must around here. Not losing any warmth by having to use a scarf between your neck and your hood where cold air can get into. LOVE this jacket! ... show more

So this jacket is lightweight and warm ideal for 28-48 F I think. I've been wearing it on colder days with a sweater just walking a couple blocks to my car. I love the cut is flattering tapered but not too small, sizing seemed correct. I have long arms and sleeve length is just adequate. This issue is since day 1 has leaked small feathers all over my clothes. You can see them all poking out the seems in the back. Got this coat today and couldn't be happier! Forget the fact that it was stuffed in my mailbox. No harm done to the thin, clear plastic wrap or to the coat itself. Whew! Opted for a large after reviewing size guide and many reviews despite my normal being xl. Love the fit, the look, the color. Yes the shoulders are a tiny bit tight but if I sized up, it'd be too big everywhere else. Thumbholes are a wonderful thing as is the sleeve length. The hood is on the large side as many have mentioned however I found that tightening the lower string rather than the upper, in the hood helps, esp if wearing a hat. Zippers seem to be of quality. I'm sure it'll do the job of keeping me warm outside as I could feel the warmth increasing just when trying it on inside. Already planning on ordering a different color. I'm so excited! ... show more
