The media could not be loaded. I got this Slopehill H8 Ionic Hair Dryer with Diffuser as a replacement hair dryer for a larger, older model. I have a short, straight precision haircut. As compared to my other newer style dryer (I wanted one for each of the 2 places I live), this one seems much louder. That is why I deducted one star. You may want to use earplugs. Other than volume, this model works very well. The instructions are very easy to use. The four temperature settings are very precise, and the digital readout will tell you the temperature - 100, 140, 180, and 210° F. I like the cool air setting, and there is also a safety lock. There are also four fan speeds, so you can set the temperature and the intensity accurately to your needs. It is quite powerful and uses 2000 Watts of electricity. This model is a little heavier than my other one, but it still feels okay and it is comfortable to hold in my hand. I dried my hair in 3.5 minutes, using the first gear of speed and the second gear of temperature (the instructions above for details), which seems very quick and efficient. The cool setting was also effective for post-shower body drying. All in all, this is a very nice new-generation hair dryer, and it dried my hair quickly and efficiently, but it did seem loud to me. The media could not be loaded. The air nozzle is not overly large, so maybe a concentrator is not needed, however, it would be nice to have it as an option. I did try to locate a concentrator for this hairdryer, but I was unsuccessful. I do have another blow dryer that does have a magnetic concentrator similar in size to this blow dryer. I did try it on this one, it’s not a perfect fit, but it will work. This blow dryer is very powerful. I was able to get my hair dried pretty quickly. The temperature settings are really nice, and the ability to lock the settings in place is super convenient. I was amazed that when I turned on the cool air feature that the temperature drop down to 84°F. (it is winter time, and the current room temperature is 68° in my bathroom). With the diffuser in place, and running it on low setting, I was able to effectively dry, old-fashioned, non-heated hair curlers in my hair, without a blowing my hair all over the place. This blow dryer does feel evenly balanced in my hand and not overly heavy. It does not appear to have a self cleaning function, by running the motor in reverse. It does say in the instructions that the fan speed is run by blades. A lot of the other new blow dryers state that they do not have blades. Maybe that’s why this one runs so efficiently. I do not think there is such thing as a quiet blow dryer. So, I cannot comment about how loud this is compared to other ones. To me they’re all loud. I think it did have a cord wrap included in the box, but it wasn’t actually attached to the cord. So, if it did have one, I’ve already misplaced it. They do list a QR code. It is for warranty purposes. I did not bother to fill it out, because I do not know how my information will be used. ... show more

Seems like I'm the minority here with this Slopehill H8 hair dryer. For the high amount it costs, I don't see anything special about it. It arrives in a plain cardboard box. For the price of almost $200 at the time of writing, you'd think it would have better presentation. The dryer itself is loud, my daughter was plugging her ears as we dried her hair. Plus, it blows air everywhere. It was blowing things off my counter. It really should come with a concentrator attachment. The highest temp it goes to (the digital display is nice) is 210 degrees, but it doesn't feel very hot. ... show more

    • A very fun hair dryer to use
I think that this hair dryer is so very unique especially, since it can tell you exactly the temperature of drying your hair. I found out that this has a lot of different settings with the buttons on it which is not difficult for me to use. This has a high medium and low setting and also it is visual since the temperature is also directed with the colors on the back of the hair dryer. It doesn't take that long for me to dry my hair with it either and I love the fact that I can actually set the temperature since it is in Fahrenheit I can read exactly what degrees the air flow is. The attachment that comes with us is easy to put on since it is magnetic and it is very sturdy when you attach it to the hair dryer. But I am so happy of using this one because of all the different features that it has and I am definitely going to be using this as my main hair dryer for my hair. ... show more

I have to begin by saying that I am not an expert on Negative Ions or RPM's but boy this drier is fantastic! I have wrist issues and my current hairdryer (I bought it because it was "lightweight") gets too heavy for my wrists before I am done drying my med thick, medium length hair. This dryer not only dried my hair in about 5 minutes but also it truly is lightweight, at least for me. After drying my hair was silky, not frizzy and did not appear to have done any damage to it. The dryer has 4 different heat settings: 100 ℉, 140 ℉, 180 ℉ and 210 ℉ and 4 different speed setting as well as a one-click cold air setting in case it gets to hot or in my case I'm drying my kids hair and they can't take the heat. Another great thing I love is the lock button, so you can set it to what you like and it will not change the temp while moving you hand on the handle; it is also quiet, more than any others I have tried and it has a self cleaning function as well, which will eventually come in handy for me.
