I purchased the Sling Shot bench band as a replacement for the Sling Shot leg band because it was lost when I moved. I must have used the open band 100’s of times to bench without any need for the sewn in arms. The open design is 1/2 the price and I think works better since you never have to worry the arm openings are too small. I had to order an XXL to fit my arms and I weigh 185. The open design sling shot sells allow you to order the smaller sizes to really stretch and increase your max bench press. The open design I had was either a medium or a large and fit great, and as I mentioned I didn’t worry about arm opening size. The XXL size I have is a little bit long because of the larger arm openings, so it doesn’t stretch across my chest like the smaller open design, but if you have 17”+ size arms, you will need the XXL but if you want a better stretch try the large open sling shot band ... show more

So I tried it the night I received it. Wow, it actually works. I did 15 pushups without it and did an additional 15. I believe it will help with bench press as well and will try it at the gym tomorrow. Great product!

YES!! Man I love this thing! I do pushups pretty regularly but this thing took it to the next level. First time using it I cranked out 50 reps no problem! This will be a staple now in my pushups workouts… Update - been using it pretty consistently and have already noticed some pulls in the material and broken rubber bands sticking out. Actually wanted to exchange it to see if it was a one off defect but missed the window by 1 day, doh! So looks like I’ll keep using it until it (hopefully not) craps out in me. I had a surgery that caused me to not do upper body workouts for more than a year. Shortly after I started again, my doctor was able to diagnose a long term metabolic problem I had and I gained 40 lbs 😂 to say my push up was suffering is an understatement! I spent 2 years building myself up in knee push ups but was still struggling to move into full push ups. I bought this band as a Hail Mary and it’s working!!! This actually worked as advertised and took a lot of strain off my shoulder, which I've had two surgeries on. I was able to bench much more than I normally do and didn't have any shoulder pain when I was done. Was kind of skeptical because so many of these things are fast money grabs, and full of it but this actually is well worth the money. If you got a shoulder injury of any kind of how they recommend this if you're still planning on benching or doing any kind of chest exercises at the gym. ... show more

This works. I was hesitant that anything would help because I can’t even do 1 push up… not even knee push ups. I’ve broken both of my shoulders in the past (and multiple times each) so doing a push up is a challenge. Matter of fact, say I can go to the gym and most of my arm exercises are around 100lb weight volume. As soon as I go to a machine that is strictly shoulders… I’m lucky to move 10 pounds… my shoulders are awful and I probably needed surgery on both but never did get it. I got this yesterday and I’ll be honest, my shoulders still can’t take a full push up yet but I can do about 5 knee push ups now thanks to this sling shot brand. I’ve never felt so great in my life! I now feel like I can work towards doing full push ups with the help of this band. On another note, I am very skinny and weigh 125. I went with the small instead of XL since I had a few pounds over and it does fit well enough. An XS might fit my arms a little better but not sure since I haven’t tried it. The small does fit my arms good enough that it isn’t annoying. Maybe have to pull it up a couple times but that is it. ... show more
