The bad: No instructions so I had to lookup a tutorial on how to install and most of them were with different connections When using the screen to goto oem car info it just switches to a purple screen and you have to reboot, however you still have error messages on the dash if you needed to check so this didn’t bother me at all (update: if you change your Idrive screen to the correct one in the system car settings you can find the correct resolution and it will work, shown in the photos, also holding menu on idrive knob will swap between them) And lastly the connection to the screen from their harness would not fully seat it for some reason, my first time installing it did not power on at all until I really forced the connection in. It currently still isn’t fully seated in but now it powers on so I’m worried in the future I will have to unscrew the screen and glue it in or something. The good: Wireless CarPlay works fantastic and I didn’t have to route any kind of aux cord to my aux port, I simply left it how it was connected in the harness and I got audio. (Audio sounds flat until you goto device settings and change the eq) Microphone being on the front of the device is a lifesaver and now lets be completely hands free My idrive knob still works with the whole screen Which is nice and my steering wheel buttons work with the device aswell which is super nice Overall fantastic upgrade that makes the car feel more modern and useful

Hate to leave a bad review, but this screen states specific compatibility with CCC variant E-Chassis cars. This was not the case. I was able to power the screen on and connect my phone, but there was 0 audio being emitted no matter what. I tried using the OEM function part of the screen, to which it would not display correctly, telling me this was not CCC compatible. A bit disappointing as you need to take just about everything out to get this plugged in. Wasn’t extremely excited when the screen was not playing any audio. Had to return it and I wouldn’t recommend it. As you can see in the video, the music is playing and I adjust the volume up with zero changes.

Android auto works fine, sound quality is fine. Touch screen navigating the UI is laggy and feels rough. The IDrive pass through is not working and is extremely fuzzy. Tried messing with all setting related to it to clear it up, no resolution. The knob will try to navigate the screen even when not in OEM display mode, can cause false inputs when bumped.
