I purchased two of these. One for each jeep we own. I was driving around during winter for months with the tires a few pounds lower than optimal levels. So finally I decided to inflate the tires to the correct levels. The valve attachment is a little hard to get on the valve but with some pressure it goes on. Takes a few mins to fill each tire. My tires are pretty large so that may require more fill time. The instructions warned against overheating the unit. And not to use for more than I think 4 minutes at a time. I filled each tire. The gauge on the unit read 40 lbs but I checked it with my own tire gauge and it was only at 36 lbs. I did each tire and now were riding at the correct levels. Plug in lighter power cord is plenty long to reach any tire on the vehicle. Definitely a good thing to have stored in the car for an emergency. ... show more

This product is pretty easy to use. If you know how to use the bigger air machine at a gas station then this should be no problem. I purchased this air inflator SIMPLY due to the fact that the piece that attaches to the tire stem has a little locking mechanism. Some of the other air inflators use a twist or screw on style attachment. Those work however when you're removing it you might lose some air. This product doesn't do that. The analog guage does not bother me however I wish it was back-lit for easier viewing at night. Its built-in light on top is a nice touch. Although I'll probably not use it, the adapter to inflate a basketball or bicycle tire is a great inclusion. All in all, I'd buy this air inflator again over most. The ONLY thing I really dislike with this inflator is how noisy it is but these small contraptions generally make a ruckus, particularly at night/early morning. ... show more

The price is very good on this tire inflator, but on the one I ordered after only about 20-minutes total run time, it started shaking, rattling and thumping like it was about to fly apart. I stopped using it because it wasn't working well and also, it sounded as if it would explode any second.

    • Portable tire inflator
It is a great little unit, Now I did modify the unit. I opened up the case and removed the wire and 12v plug end. I soldered in a heavier wire, 10awg to help the unit run easier, the wire would get very warm prior to me exchanging the wire size. I also put on an SAE plugs that will plug into my Motorcycle charge line so I can use it very quickly right of the motorcycle battery. I added the other plug end on the 12v plug to make an adapter and I also added a plug end onto the aligator clips to be able to use it on any battery post. ... show more
