This is my first heat press of this type, and I'm thrilled at how much faster than an iron it is to use! The bonus with this is that it comes with all the tools needed to transfer designs to garments, mugs, hats, and plates. That opens up new lines of merchandise I can make and sell. The user manual provides a basic description of how to set up and operate all the components – though a more detailed explanation of how to attach the hat press, then how to reassemble the garment press would be very helpful. When changing to the hat press, I found it difficult to anchor it to the top assembly because the holes for it were too big for the screws. Once I got it to stay on, it worked perfectly. Changing back to the garment press required DH, but he found a way that I can use in the future. (I need to remove the flat plate from the upper assembly, attach the press to that, then anchor the unit to the assembly.) I expect these processes to get easier as I gain experience. The three presses (garment, hat, mug) each have a wire that connects quickly and securely to the control box, and setting time and temperature is easy to do. The pressure handles work smoothly and have comfortable grips. Two Teflon sheets come with this heat press and completely cover the entire 12” x 15” area. I haven’t yet tested the plate presses because I need to order some other materials (including plates). Overall, I was rapidly able to learn to use all of the equipment and successfully added designs to a shirt, a hat, and a mug. This equipment is high quality, and the price is very reasonable. I’m now looking at sublimation printers because this heat press just opened up a world of new possibilities for our small business.

Better instructions would be helpful. Easy to set up and use once you figure out how.
The heat press is easy to set up. You just slide the control part with the read out onto the place where it obviously goes and attach the cable from the heat plates to it. You don’t even need the directions to figure it out. Actually, using it is another story. It doesn’t provide much information on how to use it other than how to set the heat and time. While that is incredibly useful, I would have liked some more information. Like, what are the two pads for? One is felt and one is silicone. How do I actually put a shirt or tote or whatever on the plate? Thank goodness there are videos to fill in the gaps. It doesn’t take up much room. It’s really nice that it swings away. I definitely need to adjust it to make it not swing so freely since my dad wants to use it and he’s not too careful about things. I’m sure I will get better at it and be more confident in its use as I use it more and for different things. Right now, I am sticking to shirts and totes and have not tried the hat or plate press. It’s good for beginners, I just wish it had more detailed instructions.

Instructions….
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because there were NO basic instruction on how to use it. It took me 2 weeks just to figure out how to use the timer portion. It did come with a paper with basic warnings about hot surfaces but that was about it. Granted that was more than my Sawgrass printer came with. What happen to basic instruction manuals? I get them for my little technological stuff I get, telling me what each button is for, why wouldn’t I get it for a $200 pc of equipment?

Do not buy!! I got this machine in July. Worked ok. Slightly wobbly but did the job. I was doing a shirt. Went to press it and heard a pop. No it was not the pressure being too tight as the shirt pulled right out since I had enter tightened it to how I needed. The vertical back arm the hold it up broke. That was about September. I thought there would be a bolt I could tighten (what I read). I just took it all apart. It’s a welded piece so it can not be fixed. Buy one that can be adjusted and fixed. Once this is broke - it’s done.

Easy to use heat press.
This 5-in 1 heat press machine has a nice large press for t-shirts. The press is easy to use it has a nice and easy to read screen. The Press for the shirts is made from metal it was a little heavy for me to pick up the size of the machine is large I would pick a place and leave it it's not like other brands that can be easily moved around. This set came with a few other features; you can heat press mugs and hat and plates with this they are easy to use with the provided instructions. This is great for anyone looking to start there at home business. The thick silicone padding and 360 degree allows a better a safer way to use the press unlike other presses. The handle is nicely padded and ergonomic which makes it easy for all to use. The press for the shirt part is large enough you can do several coasters on it. This kit is very versatile and a great value for what your getting.
