Bought this mattress in June, and now it's just less than a year old, it is April and both me (I'm 5'8, 135 lbs) and my partner (5'6, 160 lbs) both woke up for a week and a half straight needing to do yoga and re-adjust our bodies. We don't know when it happened exactly, but the bed went from being wonderfully perfectly firm and we thought we got a STEAL on a mattress. Now we're super thankful we never threw our old bed out and have put it underneath this one. I tried putting my hand down on it to see if it maybe has a soft spot where we normally sleep, and I could not feel the difference except I do remember that the previous bed felt less firm than this 8" Marley memory foam mattress. Flipped to the previous bed (which is just a king sized bed with a 2" cushion top) and now it is more firm than the Marley memory foam mattress! We tried 2 in real life before going with this one, in part because of the reviews and the price being consistently lower than the others but having the same kind of reviews. I wouldn't say this even lasted 1 year?!?! I'm not sure what's the way to test if we got a dud or not? Maybe it's within the A-Z Amazon warranty? We're not sure. But we do know that my sciatica felt intolerable and I didn't want to get out of bed and my partner felt pain all the way from her toes up to her neck (the precious spine!) I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Doesn’t seem to be 8 inches; seems thinner; disappointing that it’s not as thick as advertised. I would not recommend saving money buying the 8 inch model like I did - it would work fine on the floor - but I have mine on a Zinus bed frame and I can feel the bars of the frame through the mattress. I wish I had bought the 10 inch model or the 12. On the plus side, it seems like good quality, good not great comfort, US product; off-gassed odors mostly gone in 7-10 days which I think is pretty good comparatively.

I researched mattresses for weeks before reluctantly choosing a new Cal King to replace our Queen. I’m always nervous about trying new brands (especially difficult to return ones!), but thankfully this was a winner. I have severe medical issues that require a nicer mattress (6 herniated discs in lumber and severe tendonitis in L knee), so crappy sleep is more than just an inconvenience, it’s debilitating. This has been a relief for me to sleep on (with a 4” topper as well). The combined firmness of the memory foam and cradle of the topper make for a perfect night sleep (I also have a contour memory foam pillow that bolsters my neck on every side.

I am so beyond disappointed. After sorting through hundreds of mattress reviews I chose this one and have not had a good night sleep since. After about 4 months you could see divots in the mattress from where my partner and I sleep. I wake up every morning with extreme back pain despite doing all the tricks (ex. Pillow in between knees). I’ve never had this problem before either. If I go sleep in my guest room I’m 100% fine. I was hoping to get at least 4 years out of this mattress but I’m already going to have to buy a new one. I’ve tried turning the bed and even got the best mattress topper on the line but nothing helps. This bed is TERRIBLE. Don’t waste your money or sleep.

Bed opened and inflated to normal size from shrink wrap start, just fine. I have slept in this bed for 2 nights. Cal King 10” and while it seems to be comfortable, my husband and I are experiencing the same problem with circulation. Our arms go numb if we lay on them. Now this has never happened to either of us prior and very weird it is happening to both of us at the same time. The bed is very bad for circulation. Still debating on if we should return it. Going to try and use it for a few more days and see if the issue is only because the mattress is brand new.

I have a rare spinal disease along with 7 herniated discs. I can actually sleep on my back. It’s amazing. I have been recommended $6000-$10,000 beds for comfort. That isn’t what a bargain hunter wants to be told. This bed conforms to you beautifully. I highly recommend this bed to ANYONE with back pain. The bad? I ordered Cali king sheets and a Cali king bed frame but… I got a regular king instead of the Cali king that I ordered. I’m not sure how I’d ever ship this back for a replacement. I’ll change my rating if the company reaches out.

This is the second Sleep Innovations mattress I’ve had for myself. First one was from 2012 and I only got rid of it because someone had an accident I couldn’t get cleaned up. That one was a 12 inch. This one is a 10 inch cooling gel. I can’t notice the difference but I think that’s good.

Purchased the bed in September of 2019 as an anniversary gift for my husband and I. It is now February of 2020 and we already need a new bed. It was cozy for the first couple of months, maybe. Now it’s completely sunken in where we sleep. My 6’6” husband has back problems from the bed and my arms go numb while sleeping on it because of a complete lack of support. Neither of us are heavy people. He’s probably 195 at max and I am 5’9” and 150. I don’t quite understand how the bed got so sunken in so fast. So if you are able to buy more than one mattress a year, go for it. But if not, steer clear.
