  • First time owning a PC made for gaming
Decided to jump into the ”PCMR” space after contemplating for a while because YouTubers like Digital Foundry comparing PC graphical settings to base console setting and I was intrigued by how much difference there really was. Trying to build on myself was really an option because I waited too late and now the PC components market is all messed up so it would have been way more different trying to cobble together the part from “scratch”. Did as much research as I could on the topic and went with 3060ti/Ryzen 7 3700X build for $1300 at the time which wasn’t terrible considering the GPU rarity. I was aiming to be able to run games at 1440p/60fps and have the ability to toggle Raytracing. This build does that almost flawlessly aside from the most demanding games like CyberPunk 2077. I can run Control (game by Remedy) at ultra settings 4K DLSS WITH Raytracing enabled at 60fps, pretty crazy. The DLSS capability is probably my favorite feature because normally running a game in native 4K resolution with the intention of hitting 60fps too is too much for most systems but Nvidia cards have something called Deep Learned SuperSampling which renders the game internally at a lower resolution like 1080p then reconstructs the image up to 4K with an A.I program and the result look almost indistinguishable from the native target resolution and in some cases looks even better than it, all with the benefit of being way less taxing on the system allowing you to hit the FPS goal. Anyway the package came in a pretty large box with the graphic art of the company on it and inside had a keyboard & mouse, the instructions for setting up, and power cables. Set up was easy and already came with windows 10 installed on it and all the necessary drivers. The cables inside the PC were managed pretty good and the booted up just fine. Overall I’d recommend it if you have the money and can’t build one yourself due to the market being screwed up but still want a quality build. ... show more

  • Blown Away!!!
I got this PC a few days ago and before I turned it on I added 16 Gig of ram and another 1tb SSD drive and let me tell you this thing is fast and it worked perfectly right out of the box. The PC had all of the same parts that are in the picture on Amazon including the Asrock MB. So far I am very pleased but just a note that some may not be aware of. This MB does not have a built in speaker so you you will need external speakers. I haven't put a major strain on this PC yet but I am sure it will handle what I have in store for it. UPDATE: I have added another internal 1TB SSD drive and a 2TB SSD drive and added more RAM for a total of 32GB. I have read some of the horror stories that some users have had but that hasn't been my experience so far and it has been over 6 months since I have bought it. I do video editing on this machine and I have to say this machine makes quick work of anything I have thrown at it. To be honest I would have preferred to build my own machine but with the high cost of parts I opted for a prebuilt machine and so far I haven't been disappointed, my machine has everything in it that was in the picture on Amazon. I also must say that about two weeks after ordering this machine it disappeared off Amazon and lesser machines were priced higher than what I paid for this PC. So if you see a machine you like from Skytech and choose to buy it don't wait as you never know when they will raise their prices esp. with the cost of video cards and the difficulty of finding them. I hope this helps someone in their quest to buy a PC. ... show more

  • Too Good To Be True
I bought this super hyped about the components and to get gaming. I was looking for my second gaming pc and with GPUs becoming impossible to find at good prices i opted for a prebuilt. Excited it took two just shy of weeks to get here. Got it started and i have to say it was very pretty. However the CPU cooling system with the skytech logo on it refused to light up. Not a big deal right? So i go and game for about two weeks, i go to work, come home and boot up my PC and it just craps out on me. I tried contacting their tech support only to never receive a call back or i was on hold for 5 hours. I tried the online chat which took 2 hours and still could not get real assistance with my issue. I tried everything i even took it to an IT specialist and he couldn't identify any of the issues. Very frustrating as now i have to wait for my refund in order to begin to purchase another one. Hopefully this time it actually works longer than 3 weeks. ... show more

  • Fantastic Specs
This desktop has fantastic specs for the price. I was looking to buy the graphics card alone and couldn't find it for less than $600 and most of them were $800+. Since I was going to build a pc from scratch with a lesser processor and cooling system, I decided to bump up a notch. One *very mild* disappointment is with the RGB LEDs: the only LEDs that are compatible with the motherboard (at least on the model that I got) are the ones on the processor cooling unit. The fan/case color are controlled by the case, to change the video card color you need to install a separate application, and the included keyboard and mouse only have 3 color settings each (that are hardwired in). Aside from that one, purely aesthetic, criticism the PC screams in all other aspects. I do a lot of data processing and I'm trying to get into gaming, but this computer has no problem running both at the same time. ... show more

  • so far so good
some buttons on the keyboard (LED light) that came with the computer didn't work. kind of annoyed by it but oh well. Called the tech support but I wasn't able to get immediate help because the tech team is all booked up. Two days later I got a call as promised, but I was told the new keyboard will be shipped next week because today is Friday... So no keyboard for one week at minimum. However, the computer works fine and the LED light looks very cool. Update Feb 1. It’s been 10 days since I spoke to the support for key board replacement. They havent even shipped it yet. For one single keyboard replacement. They couldn’t process it, because of the CoVid. Just blame everything on Covid. I think I am gonna skip lunch today because of Covid and no one can do anything about it. ... show more
