  • Perfect for a gamer who didn't want to build it herself
I needed to upgrade my PC to play the latest games, but I didn't want to build my own gaming PC. Found this pre-built Omega 2 option at a great deal during the Black Friday sale. I didn't know much about Skytech prior to purchasing this unit, but I've had this PC for 1 week and I like what I'm seeing. The tower was nicely packed and was delivered with no issues. Setup instructions were super easy, there was just some padding to remove from the inside of the case. And then I was ready to hook up my peripherals and plug it in. Everything worked perfectly at setup and I was downloading my games within 30 minutes of opening the box. ... show more

  • Low Quality and Missing Windows Activation
Missing Windows Activation Key - This is the primary reason for a 2 star review instead of a 4 star review. I tried almost everything I could to find/get the activation key. It wasn't in the documentation, the included getting started or quick start guide, nor is it on the product serial number tag on the back of the PC case. I ended up having to purchase my own Windows license and paid a minimum of $150 on top of the $1899.99 I paid for the PC itself (not including tax in either of those figures). The case is rickety and the backplate is extremely easy to push inward because it's not properly secured to the case. The RGB lighting was a bit of a pain to figure out but it wasn't too much of an issue because I don't really care about that stuff in the first place. One thing I do care about is a clean appearance and this PC seems to have it, at least from the plexiglass side panel. It's incredibly barebones in there. The pictures are 100% accurate. What you don't see is the incredibly cramped cable management when taking off the other side panel and peeking behind the motherboard. Additionally, the power supply is in it's own separate compartment below everything else. I haven't had to replace anything yet but when I do I have a feeling that case design is going to be an issue. All things considered, it's still a fine case. It has good ventilation, a massive filter on the front, a removeable magnetic dust filters on the top and a filter on the side where the power supply is. That said, I still keep it elevated on a PC stand. The gaming thus far has been excellent. I have no complains about the components. This is the first PC that I've purchased in an extremely long time that I didn't build myself. To me, not having to source parts and price check everything, plus not worrying about compatibility was absolutely worth the value to me. The machine is quiet, even when running a heavy load. I don't play any majorly demanding games, nor do I care for ray tracing so the speed of the processor and the 4070 Super make short work of anything I have to do. I make music and that type of software demands a lot from the processor and the RAM. Perhaps an upgrade to 6k RAM from the 5.2k RAM would help but at the end of the day I don't think the speed would really matter. For most people 32GB is plenty of RAM and it has been for me. I've heard of issues running 64GB of RAM with the 7700X so I just avoided the upgrade and haven't regretted it. This is a fast machine. Finally, I was incredibly disappointed to find out there was only WIFI 5. I've been using it without issues though but that may be because my router is right on the other side of the wall. The included keyboard was no better than a $10 keyboard but the mouse was designed well and is comfortable. I don't use it, but I tried it out. Final Thoughts: Though this particular machine is no longer available I WOULD recommend it to someone else so long as they didn't have to pay for a Windows license and were willing to compromise on the case in place of something much nicer looking. Although it may seem like I had a lot of negative things to say, if I didn't mention something it's most likely that it meets or exceeds my expectations. ... show more
