  • A great gaming PC that you can probably build yourself for less money.
Size: 2700X | 2070 Super
I'll start off by saying that this PC is all-around excellent. It runs relatively new and graphically-intense games like Death Stranding and Red Dead Redemption 2 on high settings at 60 frames per second. It starts up in a matter of seconds and runs beautifully fast and smooth thanks to the 16GB of RAM and its SSD. That being said, as is the case with most pre-built PCs, you can almost definitely acquire the individual parts and assemble it yourself for a fraction of the price. However, for those who lack the technical expertise to comfortably attempt such an endeavor and have the money to burn, this is a perfectly excellent gaming PC. I can't speak to the usefulness of Skytech's tech support because I have had no need to contact them. The PC came in a very well-padded box complete with some helpful paperwork regarding getting the PC started for the first time, including a troubleshooting checklist. The PC itself came in perfect condition aside from one of the SSD trays being slightly askew. However, all I had to do was open the case (easily done by removing the four pegs that keep the glass panel in place and carefully setting it aside) and line up the tray's pegs with the holes meant to anchor it in place. As for the case itself, I find it to be a bit gaudy, particularly with the LEDs all going at once, but since they can be turned off I don't think of it as a reason to really complain. Speaking of which, the LEDs and fans are controlled with the two smaller buttons on top of the PC tower, with the one not labeled "LED" controlling the fans, obviously. These operate completely independently from the computer itself as far as I can tell, and I don't think it's possible to control them any other way. The LEDs have about twenty different patterns to scroll through, but if you just want to shut them off you can just hold the button down. Likewise, the fans seems to have three settings: low, high, and off. Occasionally the LED button doesn't seem to work properly and holding down the fan button seems to correct the issue, but I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature. It's not a tremendous issue so I don't particular mind. It's also worth noting that the GPU has its own little LED that illuminates the brand logo ('Zotac Gaming' in this case, though it could be different for others) and that this LED ALSO operates independently from the others in the case. If there's a way to turn this one off I'm not aware of it, but it's a very small and dim light so it doesn't bother me. The metal mesh positioned in front of the fans meant to catch dust has a weird angular design. I'm not entirely sure if this is intentional and meant to help it catch dust or if it's just part of the modern art design aesthetic, but it's effective and easy to clean so I have no issues with it. The mesh can be removed by pressing against the top end of it. You'll hear a distinctive click and will be able to pull it away from the top. The bottom has two tabs that fit into two holes and can just be lifted out at that point. I've had no reason to do this as of yet, but it's worth noting. That's all I have to say about this PC. Overall I'm thrilled with the product and how it has worked for the past month and a half. I was sure I would have more issues on the technical side of things but mercifully I seem to have been spared. If you aren't tech savvy enough to consider building your own PC then I'd highly recommend this machine. EDIT: So, a few things I've confirmed since I wrote and submitted this review. The bug/feature I noted with holding down the button that operates the case's fans is almost definitely a feature, specifically a way of "locking" your LED settings in. Holding this button down will make it so that it remembers what your LED settings are. So, whenever you turn the computer on, the LEDs will be on whatever they were set at when you last shut it off. I'm relatively sure this is accurate, but because this doesn't seem to be documented anywhere it's hard to be 100% sure. I also realized that I didn't address the lack of an internal Wi-Fi antenna. It comes with an external one that has worked pretty well for me, though you might want to upgrade it if it doesn't meet your standards. ... show more

  • Great overall!
Size: 2700X | 2070 Super
I got this prebuilt Because I have a busy schedule and to just plug in and play is way easier for me than building a pc. But all in all, I’m impressed. The build quality is great. The case is beautiful and the price:quality ratio is superb. It runs every game I’ve thrown at it (ARK, GTA, COD WWII, and pretty much everything else in my library) great. My personal go to game is ARK and it runs a smooth 80fps on full epic settings. It’s also good for recording and streaming as the Ryzen 7 2700x paired with the RTX 2070 super is good for most entry level streamers/ video recording, editing, or rendering. Overall I’ve had a great experience and would definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Good gaming PC
Size: 2700X | 2070 Super
I purchased this gaming PC about a month ago and have no serious complaints at all. All the components work perfectly and I have not had a single major issue. The only aspect that I do notice is fan noise. Especially right after booting the machine up, the fan will cycle going from loud to silent repeatedly. I think it is the stock cooler for the AMD Ryzen chip (considering replacing that with a liquid cooler). I also think it is the number of processes running in Win 10 that is causing this. In terms of gaming, I have run high performance games on max settings with no issues. Very reasonably priced. The only downside is that it comes with only one SSD. However, it is easy to install a second one as the case provides plenty of room. Have not had to contact Tech Support yet (hope I never do)! ... show more

  • Skytech Gaming PC came with a random keyboard and mouse
Size: 2700X | 2070 Super
I must say the sky tech gaming PC is really nice the build is awesome in terms of the internals and how everything is wired, the PC build is very neat and well put together. The system is pretty much fast and can handle most of the titles you would want to play as it relates to gaming. Things to note when you get the system look at the hardware internals and see the type of memory and ssd drive which is equipped (brand type). One of the really disappointing things was that this said pc was reviewed on youtube and the keyboard and mouse which was given to the person who reviewed it was that of a sky-tech gaming keyboard and a sky-tech gaming mouse. When i got the pc I got a random keyboard which was not bad but not great either and a mouse (very cheap quality). I believe if your selling a gaming system is should come equipped with a mouse and keyboard that promotes the brands name as that is the whole idea behind building gaming pcs. In general the pc is nice but it would have been totally complete with appropriate gaming keyboard and mouse. ... show more

  • Very fast, but crashes to black screen
Size: 2700X | 2070 Super
I bought this computer and for the first 5 months it worked very well, very fast and I could run games on ultra, loved it. It would randomly just cut off sometimes, but it was pretty rare so I didn't worry too much about it. Now when I try to play 7 Days To Die on it, it crashes every time within 10 minutes. I bought all of the highest end extras for this PC thinking that it would last, but it is essentially just junk now. I have researched solutions and have found that many other people have this issue, but no solutions are talked about. I guess that I can drop it off with a tech, but it just makes me mad that I spent so much on this no name company, and they still sold me junk. ... show more
