  • A great gaming PC that you can probably build yourself for less money.
Color: White Set name: 2700X | 2070 Super
I'll start off by saying that this PC is all-around excellent. It runs relatively new and graphically-intense games like Death Stranding and Red Dead Redemption 2 on high settings at 60 frames per second. It starts up in a matter of seconds and runs beautifully fast and smooth thanks to the 16GB of RAM and its SSD. That being said, as is the case with most pre-built PCs, you can almost definitely acquire the individual parts and assemble it yourself for a fraction of the price. However, for those who lack the technical expertise to comfortably attempt such an endeavor and have the money to burn, this is a perfectly excellent gaming PC. I can't speak to the usefulness of Skytech's tech support because I have had no need to contact them. The PC came in a very well-padded box complete with some helpful paperwork regarding getting the PC started for the first time, including a troubleshooting checklist. The PC itself came in perfect condition aside from one of the SSD trays being slightly askew. However, all I had to do was open the case (easily done by removing the four pegs that keep the glass panel in place and carefully setting it aside) and line up the tray's pegs with the holes meant to anchor it in place. As for the case itself, I find it to be a bit gaudy, particularly with the LEDs all going at once, but since they can be turned off I don't think of it as a reason to really complain. Speaking of which, the LEDs and fans are controlled with the two smaller buttons on top of the PC tower, with the one not labeled "LED" controlling the fans, obviously. These operate completely independently from the computer itself as far as I can tell, and I don't think it's possible to control them any other way. The LEDs have about twenty different patterns to scroll through, but if you just want to shut them off you can just hold the button down. Likewise, the fans seems to have three settings: low, high, and off. Occasionally the LED button doesn't seem to work properly and holding down the fan button seems to correct the issue, but I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature. It's not a tremendous issue so I don't particular mind. It's also worth noting that the GPU has its own little LED that illuminates the brand logo ('Zotac Gaming' in this case, though it could be different for others) and that this LED ALSO operates independently from the others in the case. If there's a way to turn this one off I'm not aware of it, but it's a very small and dim light so it doesn't bother me. The metal mesh positioned in front of the fans meant to catch dust has a weird angular design. I'm not entirely sure if this is intentional and meant to help it catch dust or if it's just part of the modern art design aesthetic, but it's effective and easy to clean so I have no issues with it. The mesh can be removed by pressing against the top end of it. You'll hear a distinctive click and will be able to pull it away from the top. The bottom has two tabs that fit into two holes and can just be lifted out at that point. I've had no reason to do this as of yet, but it's worth noting. That's all I have to say about this PC. Overall I'm thrilled with the product and how it has worked for the past month and a half. I was sure I would have more issues on the technical side of things but mercifully I seem to have been spared. If you aren't tech savvy enough to consider building your own PC then I'd highly recommend this machine. EDIT: So, a few things I've confirmed since I wrote and submitted this review. The bug/feature I noted with holding down the button that operates the case's fans is almost definitely a feature, specifically a way of "locking" your LED settings in. Holding this button down will make it so that it remembers what your LED settings are. So, whenever you turn the computer on, the LEDs will be on whatever they were set at when you last shut it off. I'm relatively sure this is accurate, but because this doesn't seem to be documented anywhere it's hard to be 100% sure. I also realized that I didn't address the lack of an internal Wi-Fi antenna. It comes with an external one that has worked pretty well for me, though you might want to upgrade it if it doesn't meet your standards. ... show more

Color: Black Set name: 9700X | 5060
I recommend this as a perfect starter PC for gamers because a it can be upgraded in the future if you need more vram b. It already has a top graphics card that can run 90% or more of games out there and see the process of installing is so straightforward and easy. And here's a free b you get a keyboard, a mouse. The RGB system works with signal out of the box and it's a very nice clean setup and thoughtfully put together. I definitely recommend this. I still haven't heard the fans make any noise. The speed quality of this computer is instantaneous with any thing program that I open. It's a very sturdy PC. It won't be moving around because of the legs and since you can see through the case for issues it makes it easier to see when the next cleaning would be. Overall. Probably the best product out there on Amazon and and here's another freebie for you guys next day. Delivery in most cases. ... show more

  • I couldn't be happier.
Color: White Set name: 2700X | 2070 Super
I'd been living off of laptops for over a decade and planned on building my own gaming PC so I could finally catch up with the times and play modern without long load times, stuttering cut scenes, and low frame rates. When it came down to it, though, after watching a "learn 2 computer" video on Youtube, I decided 2020 was not the year to summon the energy to learn how to match components together, make adjustments to my tower layout, watch for good prices on individual pieces, and put it all together without breaking anything. Building a PC is a skill I'd like to pick up someday, but... not this year. On a recommendation from TechBuyersGuru, it seemed like this was the prefab computer that best fit my budget (with room left over for a nice monitor and some other amenities), and I can't even tell you how happy I've been with it. It's pretty - I didn't think I'd care about the RGB lighting, but every once in a while I stand back and watch the glowing rainbow pattern fade in and out, and it just tickles something in my brain. It's powerful - Not that I have the highest standards after a 11 years of laptops, but just being able to casually boot up Final Fantasy XII and Just Cause 3 and Persona 4 Golden without a hiccup and play them at 2560 x 1440 while I've got other running on my other monitors It comes with everything but the monitor - the two wifi antennas helped make up for my terrible router, the keyboard is thick and clacky (and RGB-lit), the mouse (also RGB-lit) is far more accurate than the cheap Logitech things I'd gotten used to, and for all the other things I needed - two extra monitors, a microphone, a wi-fi dongle, and a couple cords to charge my headphones and controller - there were plenty of ports to accommodate all the USB and DisplayPort cords I needed. And it's not loaded up with a billion proprietary programs that constantly update themselves in the background. It's pretty much just a clean install of Windows 10, you do what you want with the rest of the space. If I wanted to find something to complain about, the power button sticks when I push it in all the way, so I have to remember to push it lightly. That's it. That's the whole "con" section. Really, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. ... show more

  • PC has many problems and gaming performance issues.
Color: White Set name: 2700X | 2070 Super
PC is an absolute mess (pc cable management was a wreck). Purchased the pc about a week ago. Everything about this computer is problems. The day I received the pc it failed to show any video. (PC would turn on but would get nothing to show up on the monitor.) Having some knowledge of pcs I was able to fix the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the ram sticks. After getting a few blue screens of death, the pc eventually booted up. (After installing all necessary drivers) I decided to try some games. Starting with the most common of games of all (minecraft) I did a basic fps test. The game ran smooth (144fps) at first until about 5 minutes in. The game started to have hicups and major fps loss (20-50fps). Tried many different ways to fix the issues but no luck. After, I decided to switch up and run Mafia III. Mafia III ran very smooth at first until about 15 minutes into playing. Thats when the fps plummeted (from a smooth 115+fps - 30fps) Not sure what the issue is, but it seems like the pc has some sort of a major bottleneck. The bottleneck defeats the purpose of the RTX 2070 Super. There are so many performance issues with this pc. It is pretty disappointing, especially for the large price tag for it. What really makes me disappointed is the fact that my GTX 1060 6GB laptop outperforms this pc most of the time. I am very unhappy with this pc. AVOID THIS PC ! ... show more

  • Great performance for the price, awesome customer service.
Color: White Set name: 2700X | 2070 Super
I purchased this PC in the beginning of 2020 and I’ve been using it daily for almost 3 years. I’m a passionate gamer, and I was looking for a PC that offered great performance at a reasonable price. This PC checked both of those boxes and the deciding factor was that it is a pre-built machine. One pro of this PC is the performance, it has surpassed my expectations because it is averagely priced. I enjoy playing first person shooters that require a consistent high framerate. This PC allows me to have a consistent 250 frames per second playing Valorant, while listening to music for 8 hours. Simply put, this machine’s performance is impressive for the price value. A second pro of buying this PC is Skytech Gaming’s amazing customer service. I’ve had a couple of minor technical issues throughout 2 and a half years of owning this PC. One issue was my SSD needed to be replaced and Skytech Gaming instantly sent me a new one. A second issue was my PC turning off consistently because my CPU’s thermal paste needed to be renewed. I called Skytech Gaming to walk me through the application of the thermal paste. Not only did he walk me through applying the paste, he stayed on the phone with me for 30 minutes afterwards helping me clean up my PC. After that phone call, my PC took a dramatic leap in performance. The only negative experiences I can think of through out these years is those minor technical issues. The first technical issue, being the SSD needing replacement was very early in the ownership of this PC. That wasn’t too bad, I just had to wait a few days for the new SSD. Although, the PC consistently turning off during a game and not knowing why was upsetting and stressful to say the least. Overall, I’ve enjoyed the past 2 and a half years in ownership of this machine. I highly recommend this PC if you are on a budget and want a pre- built machine that offers great performance. ... show more

  • Smooth sailing! Excellent value for specific tasks
Color: White Set name: 2700X | 2070 Super
Guess I was one of the lucky ones, received the unit promptly, everything worked as advertised and have not had any problems since May 2020. Superb performance once you remove the skimpy Windows 10 Home that's included and install your own OS instead. Upgraded what I could with a secondary hard disk for mass storage, doubled the RAM to 32 Gigs for $50.00, also added an accessory card in the available PCI-e slot and it smokes! Doing some video editing projects, the rendering is fast and dependable. Also did many hours of streaming, lots of audio sessions and some video conversions and this particular CPU/GPU combination is no slouch. Never a problem with freezing or overheating. For those who may want to know about expandability, and besides the open PCI-e slot on the motherboard (which is not mentioned in the description) there is a second bay with a clever snap-on mounting system already built-in for another SSD if you want to expand (once connected, literally just slide it in and snap it into place - no screw needed). Also there is yet another bay for a 5.25" type hard drive. SATA power connectors were available from the coiled ones sticking from the 650W power supply. And given that there are two open SATA ports available on the motherboard, it was trivial to add more storage, the only accessories needed to purchase there would be some short e-SATA cables. To add this hard disk into its slot, (and rather than the glass door) the metal side will need to be slid open, which is very easy to do after loosening two screws in the back. Unfortunately I am not using this for much gaming, so can't really provide any reviews of its performance under stress but I imagine it holds its own. Great purchase, excellent value for the price. Was going to build my own and decided to get this instead, definitely very happy and I hope this review may help anyone considering these machines. I recently decided to buy a 'Blaze II' which is one of Skytech Gaming's smaller 6-core machines fitted with RTX 1660 graphics card for some less-demanding tasks, and that's also been performing really well. ... show more
