  • Awesome cans with three minor inconveniences
There are a million reviews about these cans so I'll keep mine shorter. Pros: haptic feedback (yes the headphones vibrate AND have lots of bass, it's not one or the other), look/style, sound quality, bass, battery life, bass, construction quality, and durability. Did I mention the bass? Three cons that keep it from being a five-star headset: 1. The max volume on bluetooth is just not loud enough for me. Given that they're not active noise-canceling, I often find myself wishing I could turn the volume up louder when I'm in the gym. 2. The volume does get loud enough using a wired connection when the headphones are turned on, however, there is a nasty hiss sound whenever music isn't playing. The hiss goes away if you turn the headphones off, but then you've got no bass. That's not what you bought these headphones for. Disappointing flaw for a $200 pair of headphones. 3. This is about the app - in my opinion the "movie" equalizer preset sounds the best, better than the one designed for music. But every time you turn on these headphones, they default to the music preset. So after turning on the headphones, you must open the Skullcandy app, wait for it to sync to your headphones, and change the preset from music to movie mode to get superior sound. Every. Single. Time. Why can't the headphones just remember my setting? Or better yet give us a customizable EQ. For recreational headphones, the bass and sound quality just knock every other option under $200 out of the park. Sony "Xtra bass" which I've used before are seriously a joke compared to these. If you're a basshead there's no other option, just swallow the minor flaws and order these now. They're not a five-star pair of cans, but I can't see myself using anything else for a long time. ... show more

  • The headphones I have been looking for my WHOLE LIFE
Seriously. I have been sitting here with my jaw to the ground after playing "Supersonic (My existence)" by Skrillex for the third time. I just want everyone to know that I am obsessed with bass. I have severe ADHD and if you don't know this about people like me, or people with Autism - some of us have a serious emotional reaction to certain stimuli/sensory. Mine is mostly with music and smell. Bass gives me an unreal physical response so whenever I look for headphones or car audio, that is the first thing I look for. I've had the same pair of Sony extra bass (I forget which ones) since 2014, They've been with me all over the world, deployments, you name it. They are falling apart now and I wasn't able to detach myself from them because of how nice the bass sounds. It actually came down to the fact that those headphones are not wireless and I was getting tired of not being able to walk around freely so - the hunt began. I saw the reviews for these and decided to give them a shot. I. was. not. disappointed. These are insane and I don't think I will be able to take them off, ever. The sound is crisp - I can control how much bass I want to hear which is helpful because despite my love for it, not every song sounds good with the bass up at 100%. Highly recommend if you are a bass head like I am. My cheeks are rattling like I'm on a bumpy back road and I'm sure that my lack of self control will lead me to a headache later tonight but it's going to be so worth it. SkullCandy you have won over my heart and my future damaged cochlea. ... show more

  • These are a GAME CHANGER.
These headphones are F*****G awesome. Buy them. Buy them right now. Even if they aren’t on sale, buy them. These headphones changed the way I listened to music. The bass is so clear and crisp and it really can get brain-rattling, depending on the song your listening to of course. I was blown away by how great the quality of the bass was when I turned the slider all the way up. Absolutely no distortion at all. I never thought listening to music would be this awesome but these headphones make that happen. With the slider down the quality is meh. But your not getting these headphones to NOT use the slider. These headphones are specifically designed for bass heads who love the bass thumping beats when listening to their favorite songs. It’s like having mini subs for your ears. No regrets buying these. Like I said, these are GAME CHANGERS y’all, and I know you won’t regret buying these when you do. ... show more

  • A new listening experience
I really enjoy Skullcandy Crushers. They are wonderful headphones in terms of the sound quality and the adjustable bass is an unrivaled listening experience I used to have an older version and then switched to the Venue line and I missed the Crushers so much because I love a strong bass. My two issues are that these aren't good for canceling noise. They do if you're listening to music loud enough and have the bass up, but at a normal volume you can hear everything around you. Also these ones are a bit uncomfortable on the top of my head. Not sure how or why since the material is squishy but I end up with a sore spot on my head after wearing these for a while. If you're not looking for noise canceling and you want a SOLID sound quality, these are a great choice. The blue looks amazing and I enjoy the velvet touch texture too. ... show more

  • I have always loved the Crusher line of headphones.
as I've gotten older my hearing isn't what it used to be so I'm not a good judge of overall sound quality anymore. BUT the little hearing test thing this has does a wonderful job of compensating for my aging ears. lol I do wish it had a manual EQ though. I had to do the hearing test a couple times and basically lie on the test to get the sound profile I wanted. for bass. I listen to just about everything but I'm primarily an '80s, 90s '2000s hip hop/Rap and techno junkie that loves the bass, always have and always will. these have noticeably more Bass than the previous crusher wireless headphones and it seems tighter with the same low end extension. for rock music and stuff I turn the bass up about half way, for techno and hip hop maybe at 1/4, and for music more modern, songs like lil John - Da Blow, E-40 - Function, or more recently E-40 - Mob, the bass can get crazy strong like, wow. ... so sometimes just barely turn on the bass slider. overall I simply love these. ... show more
