As a Skullcandy Fanboy and owner of Crusher ANC, Crusher Wireless, and Method 360 ANC earbuds you can be rest assured my review of the Crusher 1080 ANC Headphones will be pretty darn accurate. The attached photo shows them all in a line, and also shows the many features the Skullcandy app offers for these particular Headphones. As you can see, my Crusher ANC's have been used and abused for years and are finally in need of a replacement. All that wear was due to me falling asleep wearing them often, and wearing them while biking, mowing the lawn and doing chores while sweating profusely most of the time. These headphones are comfortable to wear, lightweight, and can be adjusted to fit your head perfectly. The build quality is heads and tails above the rest of the line up. Big point here, we finally have legit noise cancellation. These feel every bit like the premium headphones you would expect at this price point. Now for why you are here. Is the bass still here?? Does it crush my skull?? Yes it is and yes it does. The biggest difference between these and my now second favorite Headphones the First Crusher ANC headphones is the amount of customization you have. Now with BOSE in the mix, the bass may not hit QUITE as hard (but trust me it's still there if you turn up that dial) when listening to regular music that isn't bass heavy as there is this new feature that I like to call "insane clarity" allows you to hear notes you didn't know were even there. Now for bassheads like me who like old school hard hitting bass like Bass 305, Techmaster PEB etc, the bass hits just as hard, but without having to max out the bass. With just a slight turn of the dial (which I prefer over the slider of previous versions) the bass still shakes my head as awesome as ever. Even better, if you want more bass without even having to turn the dial, you have control over the E.Q. and can make changes right there that truly make a difference without having to turn the dial way up. BOSE also introduced something called TrueSpatial which may be a BIT gimmicky however, it's kind of cool to set it to "Motion" and as you move your head left, right, up and down, the music just seems to follow you. Something you would use a lot? Probably not, but still a fun little option to have. Personal Sound. This is not a gimmick, and works as well as ever. You truly hear the difference when you turn it on as opposed to having it off. Notes I may have missed, are suddenly there as they seem to be amplified just where they need to be as I have tinnitus as some of the highs I have always missed in the past are now audible and actually had me in tears in front of the Wife earlier today. Finally, I can hear music the way it was meant to be heard. Conclusion, for those of you who know what it's like to put on Crushers by any name, these headphones will not blow you out of the water as you know what Skullcandy can do, but these are indeed a worthy upgrade from previous versions of the Crusher line up due to their customizability, and superior Noise Cancellation. For those who have NEVER experienced Skullcandy Crusher Sensory Bass, these will blow your mind! Don't think about it, just buy these and prepare to hear music the way it was intended. Hello, I am very experienced with hi-fi style headphones. And because of that, I didn't expect to like these other than the extreme amount of bass which I bought for fun and at-work purposes where I don't dare to use my nicer Sennheisers. It works rather well. The tuning sounds like it is very harman inspired. Heavily elevated bass, bloomy midrange (vocals can get stuffy), and elevated treble by a little bit. These do sound like your regular consumer-grade headphones but not in an offensive way to me. One good standout is the soundstage, it's relatively wide for a closed-back headphone and the positional accuracy is just okay. The fun part are the haptic bass motors. It takes a moderate volume for them to kick in while the knob is maxed out. Increasing the bass with EQ will make it kick in sooner. It's a lot of fun when it goes! You lose a significant amount of sound quality due to distortion when the haptic motors do their thing, but that's to be expected and there's no way around that. I describe the haptic bass as sounding and feeling somewhat like a cheap car audio subwoofer vibrating in your head. This isn't hi-fi (shouldn't be), it's funsies. The controls are more confusing compared to my other wireless headphones. Something to get used to. I wish the joystick had more dead space around it so I can more easily access it. Comfort is good, surprisingly better than most of my headphones. It stays on my head like glue. The active noise cancelling is actually better than my Sennheiser HDB630, with a couple of drawbacks. The ANC mics for the 1080 can't handle very loud sounds (like clanking silverware) as well as the HDB630, and the HDB630 doesn't have the pressure-feeling on the eardrums. The 1080 does have the pressure-feeling, but it is better at consistent sounds such as my air purifier. Overall I say it's a job well done. If you want some fun with extreme bass and passable sound quality, here you go! Be careful to not permanently damage your hearing! Thank you for reading.

These suck, don’t waste ur money. “Upgraded” from ANC 2. Returning these, waste of money. Software sucks, wear detect doesn’t work, audio quality is okay but not anything crazy. Bass is mid. Don’t upgrade if ur thinking about it, not even close to worth it at all

Ok, I gave these Skullcandy Crushers 1080 ANC, it’s fair chance to impress me. I listened to classic rock with some funk and here is my subjective opinion. If you like heavy bass mixed with a muddy sound these are your go to headphones. I adjusted the EQ by increasing the vocals, mids, and highs. Then I lowered the upper and lower bass and these sound washed out. The bass knob on the left side is a great booster if you really want to feel the bass. These are geared more towards bass, maybe rap and hip hop are better genres for these headphones. Now, they’re very comfortable and the app is very straightforward to use. Connectivity happens without a hitch. ANC is very good and the transparency mode is good too. Granted, I didn’t turn these up to very high volumes but I can only imagine, if they don’t sound that great at a normal volume, they won’t sound much better at high volumes. They’re decent headphones at this price point hence the 3 stars I awarded them. I thought I’d try them out and find the right balanced headphones for me. Unfortunately, these aren’t what I expected.

When I purchase an item, I expect 'not' to pay retail if the box is damaged on arrival. However, I was charged retail like the box was undamaged. I was going to give this away as a gift but can't do that with a damaged box! Seller did not mention this simple fact, that the box was in damaged condition. Not cool, I wish I had known this. And when you think about it, they had to know the damage was visible because it shipped inside a box or bag which had no damage. Take a look, would you pay $279.99+Tax (full retail) for this? Nah! I want a perfect box and a perfect product in exchange for perfect money! The Skullcandy Crusher 1080 ANC (thankfully) was not damaged (however it occurred) considering the condition of the box, how it looked damaged on arrival. Just Amazing. Well, now we know, Skullcandy has quality box protection in overall transit. Doesn't guarantee it will arrive perfect, tho. Another caveat, the Skullcandy app 'AWARE' feature doesn't seem to perform too well in hearing on pass-thru outside the headphones. They may need an update for that considering all ANC headphones block noise and allow noise for awareness. Everything else performed flawlessly, the headphones sound incredible! Highly recommend.

This is my very first Skullcandy headset and the experience is awesome but I noticed a few quirks that still need to be worked out: The Good - - The ability for custom EQ is always a plus considering folks with different listening preferences. - Bose Collaboration for the TrueSpatial is a fun experience mixed with the haptic bass custom level with Skullcandy - Bose QuiteControl ANC and StayAware works as Bose level intended - Manual/physical buttons availability is convenient vs touch sensitivity - Multiparing as I use for both personal (music) and work phone (conversing) The Bad - Wear detect needs more tuning as I've noticed that while it does the job, it too sensitive that it affects the Stay Aware process; in other words, when both wear detect and stay aware on (even when in the app and it shows enabled) if there's slight light movement from earphone adjustment (for example minor sweat/itch that would make you move the headphones just a little, it may indirectly disable Stay Aware and then you'll have to manually turn back on - Quality of Ear muff/cushions is quite sensitive; as I noticed that if sweat builds up and not wiped away within adequate time, it will definitely degrade quite quickly Despite the bad, it can be easily worked-around by not using wear detect and also get spare ear cushions from Wicked Cushions (got both the regular and cool gel versions for this headset, put the original in the box for safe keeping). The price is about right as it's less than $300, but November/Black Friday is not too far off and I would wait to see if the price goes further down by then.

Skullcandy Crusher 1080 ANC – these actually got me excited about headphones again. I’ve had a few Crushers over the years and always loved that bone-rattling bass you can feel. The problem was everything else usually lagged behind, especially the noise canceling. These finally fix that. The bass is still pure Skullcandy. There’s a wheel on the side so you can dial the haptic vibration up or down. Crank it and your head literally thumps with the kick drum. Turn it down and the sound cleans up without losing that fun energy. The new drivers and Bose tuning keep things from getting muddy like the older ones sometimes did. The ANC is the real upgrade. It’s Bose QuietControl and it actually works — plane engines, office noise, subway rumble all drop way down. Not perfect, but way better than any previous Crusher. Battery is ridiculous. I’m getting close to 50 hours with ANC on. Quick charge works great if you forget to plug them in overnight. They’re a little heavy after a few hours, but the pads are soft and they stay comfortable. For around $280 you get that signature Crusher bass, solid noise canceling, and battery that lasts forever. I’ve been grabbing these every day. Easy recommend if you like bass that you can feel.

These are absolutely amazing! By far the best over-ear headphones I’ve purchased. The sound quality is fantastic—clear, powerful, and incredibly immersive. The bass hits hard without sacrificing the detail in the music, and the Bose-tuned sound really makes everything feel full and balanced. The build quality is also top-notch. The materials feel premium, the headphones are comfortable even during longer listening sessions, and everything about them feels well designed and solid. The ANC works extremely well, and the technology and features are easy to use and actually make a noticeable difference. I honestly can’t find much to complain about. From the sound quality and bass to the comfort, materials, noise cancellation, and overall design, everything feels high-end.
