Since I love my Converse so much and wear them ALL the time I decided to try these with the lift. They are absolutely perfect. I like the bit of height very much. They look great and are a very rich black. They fit perfectly. I wear a size 6 wide shoe and the 6 in women's is a 4 in mens size. You'll notice that these shoes are marked in mens sizes. Maybe some do not but so far all my Converse are marked in the mens size. For me the mens 4/women's 6 has fit perfectly so far. The shoes, over time, kinda form to the wearers foot. I can wear a thinner sock with the size 6. I don't usually wear real thick socks but I believe it would work as well. Very well made, machine washable and last for a good long time. These sneaks look so cute. Had not ordered Converse before on-line so I didn't think too much about sizing. I normally wear a size nine in woman's shoes, but I went by this site's review recommendations and selected a half size down. Turned out, 8.5 much too long on my foot; I could wear them, but aesthetically, they looked strange on me. So, I returned them and ordered the next size down, 8. -Still too long, at least a half inch from my toe to where the shoe's tip ends. Clod-hoppers, honestly, and not how I wanted my converse to appear on my feet. I returned the 8's and took another chance on the size 7.5. Perfect fit! Bingo! I feel stupid to go through so many returns on Amazon for a pair of sneaks I should have tried on in-store, but I figured it out finally. The quality of the sneaks was never an issue, each set perfectly clean and well constructed; just trying to find that right fit. Augh! I love these sneakers. I read lots of reviews that said to size up but I sized down a half size. I have a pair of converse I have had for year and got them a half size smaller and they fit great so when I went to order these I went against the reviewers and went down a half size and they fit me perfectly. These felt great right out of the box. I am not short and don't need the platform, I just really like the look of them. I am 61 and these are my favorite new sneakers. I'm a senior and saw one of my favorite influencers on YouTube wearing these shoes. The style gives a little lift and the influencer raved about the support and walking in for hours. For me, the support is good. I can wear for hours and be on my feet for hours in these! No problems with walking in these for me. This is my fourth pair of Converse sneakers. This pair ran a little bit larger in size. I purchased and wear a size 7. So, I wear thicker socks inside and tie very snuggly and this works. I practiced walking in them at home before wearing out, as the sole is not so flexible to me. It's hard rubber and solid, not so flexible and bendable. What I noticed that was different from other Converse shoes that I own, is that the inside of the shoe has a slight yellow color to the fabric. So around the edges of the shoe, where the canvas from exterior meets the inside fabric, there is a slight difference in colors. White to soft yellow interior. My other Converse was white to white, so blended. It's not so noticeable, but up close to me, it was. I'm one of those people that like white shoes when I'm wearing white. Would buy again as they're very comfortable and go with skirts, cotton dresses, or rolled up jeans nicely. ... show more
