Description

The SKS Speedrocker Fender Set has been specifically developed for compatibility with gravel and adventure bikes, cyclocross bikes and road bikes with tyres exceeding 32mm. Proudly Made in Germany, the Speedrocker offers incredible stability over the roughest tracks while also providing optimum protection in all weathers. At the front, protection is enhanced with a dual- height front spoiler, which deflects water and mud onto the wheel and downwards, away from the rider's face. The rear mudguard utilises an innovative telescopic extension for greater coverage near the seat tube, and everything is held firmly in place with a rubber fastening system to suit a multitude of frame designs, including integrated recesses for brake or gear cables as required. The Speedrocker also showcases an update to SKS's stay design, the ESC Vario Safety System. The sturdy but lightweight black anodised aluminium stays have been designed wider than normal, to run over the top of the mudguard, and covered by a protective plate. This not only gives the Speedrocker a sleek overall appearance but also maximises the available clearance between the tyre and mudguard.

  • Kept me clean other than my feet
These fenders fit great on my Topstone 4. Relatively easy to install, the part that took the longest was installing helicopter tape to protect the frame. I've only been on a couple rides with them but they seem to stay in place well so far. My only complaint is that the sliding extension on the rear fender doesn't go down the seat tube far enough. I went on a muddy ride and every part of me stayed clean and dry except my feet. I'll have to make some sort of extension myself. ... show more

  • SKS SpeedRocker--close to perfect but need DIY tweaks to correct issues.
I decided to buy these SKS SpeedRocker fenders to add to my winter bike. They seemed to fit the bill correctly as they are marketed for gravel type bikes with wider tires. My winter bike here has 38mm tires. Mounting the fenders with the supplied mounts and brackets is pretty straight forward and it took me about 20-25 min (going slowly) to get all adjusted and whatnot. I initially mounted them with all the supplied seat stay and fork bracket mounts but frankly didn't care for the appearance of the fender stays with supplied mounts. (pic attached). My winter bike thankfully has threaded eyelets for fenders. Simply removing the fork and seat stay bracket allow the fender stay to be directly mounted to my frame. (Pic attached). I never rode the bike with the factory mounts on the stays, but will note they seemed rock solid and feel it would have been no issue whatsoever. For my application I just prefer the cleaner fixed mount look. I would still use 100% if I hadn't had eyelets. My first "wet" ride I set out on a cold wet day for a 50-60 mile road ride just post rain. Roads were wet but not actively raining. Front fender was surprising good. I was torn about having that "in front" of fork fender attached but it performed wonderfully. My smallish issue with the front is it really needs a small rubber mud flap at bottom. Clearly water runs off the bottom and at reasonable speeds (20'ish+) water deflects from the bottom right onto toes. I did have shoe covers on but were wet within a few miles. Here now is why I give them a 3 Star Rating. The rear fender has that nice sliding extension piece to make a more custom fit where it intersects with your seat tube. This is the biggest flaw for my set up. From my set up and nearly every picture I could find on-line shows the rear fender intersecting the seat tube about mid water bottle mount area. When in real world usage, water flows heavy off this area right onto to the top side of your foot/ankle/shin area. I had mid weight shoes covers on and they were soaked within about 6 miles into my ride-not good on a 37 degree day (again not actively raining, and just wet paved roads post rain). I will 100% have to rig up some piece of plastic to make the water run off further down the tire by the bottom bracket vs my ankle. For $80 I feel I shouldn't have to make chintzy DIY additional deflector. Had this front portion extended a few inches more down these seat tube these would be awesome. Several reviews stated water spray off the rear as they claim rear was too short in back. Honestly I didn't see that, however I really wish SKS would offer as an accessory or include a rubber mud flap extension to deflect/diffuse for both front and rear. I see there is a rear extension piece offered but doesn't appear of be available in US. All and all I still highly recommend these, just forces me into a few DIY projects to improve. ... show more

  • Rear did not fit my gravel bike frame. lots of adjustability.
Did not fit my frame due to the lack of clearance between the rear tire and where the two chain stairs come together. Because it is a universal mount design for bicycles with no existing fender mount points there are a lot of small pieces and many adjustable points so installation likely possible on most frames, although it would be fussy even if it did fit. Coverage looked to be good especially with the front extension although not as good as a full 270° rear fender. I ended up going with a cheaper product which just clamps to the seat post and actually works just fine although it does not protect the bike, but it keeps the road grime off of me. My bicycle already had a front fender so I did not try to install the front. also, product arrived poorly packed and was damaged in shipment, but just superficial scuffs. Minor complaint, but avoidable by the shipper. ... show more

  • Nice fenders but missing parts.
The order arrived quickly from Amazon but missing a critical part. Called the company on the shipping label to find out how to correct the missing part. They said "sorry, the order was fulfilled by Amazon so you need to call Amazon". Amazon was great. They offered to replace the whole order no charge as long as I sent back the first order within thirty days. They e-mailed a return shipping label so I wouldn't pay shipping. The second order arrived a few days later. This time missing all the small parts to connect the fenders to the bike! Between the two orders I was able to get the fenders installed. Returned what was left of the first order to Amazon. I love the fenders. They work perfectly on my bike which doesn't have it's own fender mounting points. Installation was pretty easy once I had all the parts. Good luck! ... show more

  • Excellent - best fenders I've used.
I've ridden years with SKS Raceblade fenders on road bikes with tires up to 29mm width. This year I purchased their SpeedRocker model for my Orbea Gain M30. It is shown here with 37mm tires (35mm Schwalbe G-One Speed TLE on 622x700c Astral Wanderlust rims). I am very pleased. They are firm, no shifting, no rattles, not even when crossing washboard on gravel. Good tire clearance. No issue with interference with toes of my shoes, even with insulated winter road shoes. Tire coverage and protection for the bike and rider on wet dirt and through puddles is excellent. To achieve proper function they must be careful fit. Nearly every part is adjustable. The stays are supplied extra long, to be cut to just over proper length, then adjusted at their insertions. Observe the torque recommendations: 1 Nm on the stay insertions, 3 Nm on the pivots (2mm Allen wrench). Note that I applied 3M Scotchgard vinyl protective tape where fenders mount to fork and to seat stays, and that I used a white marking pencil to record proper locations. Tape and white pencil were purchased from Amazon. I found enough clearance to place the left side rear mount below the disk brake. The rear fender has a telescoping extension bringing coverage down to the lower end of seat tube, where it too fastens with a rubber strap. Front fender is a two part affair which is tricky to assemble, but secure once done. It does depend on Velcro. Hook & loop fasteners can deteriorate as loops tear with each removal. I plan to leave my fenders on the bike for the entire rainy season. Probably zip ties (cable ties) can also be used, as with the SKS Raceblades. ... show more
