    • Missing screws / build your own floor / no latch to keep the door shut

I'm glad I read the other reviews stating that there was no floor included in the kit, and that the shed is rather un stable until it is attached to a floor of some kind. This went together rather easily. I completed it by myself in a few hours. It would go together faster if not against a building or a fence. I had to build the entire back panel first because the shed is standing a few inches from the house, and there would be no way to access all of the screws for the back panels. The instructions are not step by step, but clear enough that you can just use the pictures. Not all of the parts are labeled. Example, all of the wall panels "B" were stacked together, but only the top one had a sticker on it. So keep your piles clearly stacked because B and A are very similar. It is smaller than advertised. The base I built is 48" front to back, and there is nearly 4" of floor beyond the shed walls. I built a base from pressure treated 4x4 and ply wood, and screwed the bottom of the shed to that base. This did add a great deal of stability, as the shed was rather wobbly until then. The holes at the bottom of the shed that are obviously there for fastening the shed to some sort of floor/base, are impossible to reach without a 3" driver bit and still forces the screws at a severe angle. I have decking screws sticking out of the side of the floor because of this, and I will have to grind them off for safety. On the plus side, the kit only uses ONE kind of screw, so there's no trying to figure out what fastener to use every other connection. On the down side, the kit was nearly 40 screws short. I had to strategically rob quite a few from more hidden areas around the shed to fasten the final two side panels. I was shocked to find that there is no latch to keep the doors closed. I'm not even talking about a lock or any kind of security, just something to keep the doors closed. The two doors slide and meet in the middle, and there is nothing to keep them from blowing open in the wind. I will have to go to the hardware store tomorrow and buy some kind of latch, and then drill holes into the shed to use said latch. This is a good choice for a garden shed in a secure yard, and a bad choice if you are hoping to keep thieves out of your stuff. All of the screws are accessible from the outside and they come out easily with a Phillips screw driver. If you put a lock on the door, it would be easier for a thief to pull a side panel off than to cut or pick your lock. All of that said, I'm not mad at, and it's decent quality. It arrived in two boxes with some minor shipping damage. The boxes were well packed, but some items had some minor damage such as bent corners. I like the shed and color easy to follow instructions Not as tall as I was hoping wish it was all least 1ft taller but very happy with it

Took two guys three hours to put together. Instructions said there were 473 screw holes. I counted 477 screws and we were still waaaay short. Will have to buy about a pound of screws to finish up. Small, but just what I needed. A wheelbarrow, lawnmower and several yard tools fit fine. Instructions could have been better. Had to basically rely on pictures. But for the price, it's pretty decent ... show more

Good quality. Like it. But you have got to Improve those Directions! Keep the NUMBERED PARTS going on EVERY page. Cruising right along until I got to the Roof! OMG!!! NO NUMBERS or Arrows to point it out as to how to put that Roof on! Got lucky & lined up the holes after a lot of stress. Please Improve your Directions Book! That cant be hard. ... show more

    • Good final product, but very poor instructions
I am pleased with the final product, but I was disappointed with the instructions that came with the kit. Also, I had to purchase an additional 100 screws to complete the construction of the shed. The final shed is a nice design.

not enough screws to put together. Had to go buy more. also, the instructions were very hard to follow. after putting together it is a good unit.

Overall nice shed. We were shorted 67 screws. And we were shorted a siding piece A. But given an extra of a different siding B. Was pretty flimsy until we put it completely together and secured it to a floor.

So I got my second box (1 of 2) in about a week after I box 2 of 2. I did contact company and they were prompt to reply letting me know that the second box would be delivered soon. Not happy with 2 box shipments with 1 tracking number it makes you think your missing a box completely. I opened the boxes this weekend and it appeared that they were well protected in the shipping box so all the bent and scratched parts did not happen in shipping. I understand this is not heavy duty metal and easy to put back straight but for the price you pay for this item at least you could expect to not have multiple (every piece) scratched parts. Now I am going to have to find some matching paint, 3 colors, to cover it all up. The shed will work for what I need but I can say that if you plan to buy plan to have multiple dents dings and scratches on a new item. I personally would not recommend this item. ... show more
