I've had this for roughly 6 months now; so far it's survived the winter. I live in the mountains in New Mexico; it gets windy here. Like stupid windy. There are times when it'll blow at 40 mph for hours, and not in a steady way, more of in a gusty, damn-I -wish-I-wore-a-hat-because-my-hair's-in-my-mouth kind of way. And this thing has held up to that. So bam, 5 stars. Is it perfect? Meh, no, and here's why: - It's starting to develop a rip in the canvas from chaffing on one of the support bar bolts that sticks out a bit. - It was missing one pole when it arrived. - It is not the most rigid thing ever and moves around when it's windy. The tubing is pretty thin wall and the connections are about two steps above jank. So why 5 stars? Well, because: - I contacted the manufacturer about the pole and they sent a replacement quickly. Not overnight, but 2 day shipping style. - It has stood up to a serious amount of wind and not ripped up. - It's stood up to a few decent snow loads. Maybe 1' or so at most at a time. It sags a bit, but it holds. - It was pretty cheap, especially compared to the other stuff out there (even Costco). The problem with Costco is they don't always have the damn shelter... - You can get a replacement canvas. Some other notes: - I staked each post with one stake into asphalt. There are three holes, but the spacing was such that it would severely weaken the asphalt to drive more than one in so close to each other. - On the back I tied 2 33" tires/rims to the frame to help hold it down. I have no idea if they're necessary, but they don't hurt. - I have a 1970 Buick LeSabre parked in this shelter - it's a 20' long, 8' wide car and there is still room on the front and back of the shelter even with the tires in the back. Not a ton of room, but enough to squeeze through. - The twist in guy lines were useless for me. It's sitting on a corner bit of asphalt - so there's not many options for guy lines. The back and one side could potentially use guy lines, but there are several issues. First, there's no external way to hook up rope, which is kind of dumb. Next, the twist in stakes they provide are not good for any form or rocky soil. Perhaps if you have midwestern mud or some sandy loam, you'll be ok, but they were useless for me. All in all, I'd say it's worth it so far. I'll update if anything gets bitched.

This is my second shelter of this size and brand , and the first lasted about 5 yrs. before the cover part wore out , which I was able to get a replacement for and installed over the existing frame. One thing to point out it is a Tarp basically , it must be taken care of and checked occasionally for wear and hardware loosening. Also make sure it is anchored down good ! I chose to layout the corner points and use a post hole digger to dig holes about 16" deep fill with post cement and place a large 1/2" eye bolt in the cement with a few washers and nuts on the end in the cement, and leave the eye part sticking up , and let it cure. This when taking the time to do provides an anchor point well above and beyond the screw type no matter how long they are. The reason I had to get another one at this point is because of my own neglect. I noticed one day that one of the anchoring cables that hold the frame corners to the anchor had worn through , I foolishly replaced it with a large zip-tie. Awhile later did the same with the other corner. During a large wind storm it broke the zip-ties and took it away like a kite ! The rear original cables that were still good stayed on, which caused it to not completely fly away but destroyed most of the framework. I am still using the original concrete points I poured to install the new one. It does take time and care to put these up correctly, 2 people and a couple of 6ft. step ladders do a great deal to help. My one issue was there was 1 pole that came that was not correct, lucky for me I had saved some of the old framework and was able to scavange the part from there, I couldn't be bothered to try and call and get a new one. Another note is to KEEP the snow off it , this is easily done with a push broom from the inside, working from the peak down and pushing up gently makes the show slide off well. Too much snow and it sags alot and will cause an issue I am sure. You can't beat the price really for some extra outside storage and protection - but remember it is not a garage that would cost you $20,000 !

I live somewhere where there can be consistent wind, and rarely mildly strong winds. I am overall super duper disappointed with these sheds. The frame is alright, but the tarp was trash from day one, and overall it just sucked! Loud in any wind. Tears at the corners of the roof, so not very effective in rain protection. The first shed went up with little to no problems as the instructions were fairly clear. I did order extra corkscrew posts to add extra hold to keep it from blowing away. The tarp was obviously not going to last a very long time because it is very thin and it was clear that the screws in the frame would lead to the demise of the tarp in no time at all. The shed did ok for about 2 months so I ordered a second shed(roughly $800 down the drain now). The second shed didn't go up as easily, and with in two days of having it up, it literally blew away in the breeze, it wasn't even windy, just a breeze! In the breeze-y fly away of the second shed, the tarp was destroyed. These sheds supposedly have a decent wind rating, we never even got close to the max wind rating and our sheds were trashed. Eventually, like with in 4 months, the first shed started to really tear at the roof corners, and let all the rain and snow in. The wind and slight breeze make the tarp RIDICULOUSLY LOUD!!!!! So annoying, its supposed to be fairly taught which in theory should cut down the noise...that didn't happen, this thing is loud if you breath too hard near it. In less than a year, the roof of the first shed has split right down the middle and is now officially trash as well. The frame is sturdy enough, minus the issue of the screw ends...so now I will have to spend more money, buying a canvas type material at Harbor Freight to replace the dang tarp these sheds originally came with. I am very displeased with the advertising and over quality of everything involved with these tarps! I will never purchase from ShedLogic again, and I will actively protest anyone I know from getting one! Shed logic owes me $800!

Erected it in about 4 total hours with one person, it was easy, directions are good. They use carriage bolts so only one hand and ratchet is needed to assemble. Further, the holes are positioned and the tubes expanded so that it is hard to get them in the wrong place or orientation. Also, at the top of the shelter the carriage bolts are inserted horizontally so that you cannot position them to poke through the fabric. Kudos to the designer for this feature! Plenty of headroom, too. Some helpful notes on things I learned the hard way: 1. The carriage bolts come in three lengths. Sort them beforehand, the lengths are very close and hard to pick out of one bag. They should put them in multiple bags. If you use all the long ones too soon, you won't be able to assemble part of the shelter. Very important to note which size goes where. I cannot stress this enough. 2. Separate all the poles by number. This will speed the process - also, some of the poles are not marked, you will need to compare them to get them sorted in the correct pile. 3. You will need a 6' minimum step ladder. 4. On each end, position the carriage bolts so the nut in on the inside of the shelter. If you don't they may chafe or poke through the fabric. This isn't a concern along the top as the poles are oriented so poke through won't happen. 5. Buy enough shelter to do the job - 10 feet long sounds like a lot, but it isn't. 20' is only a little more expensive and has twice the room! (I had to send one back and order the longer one) 6. Don't assemble all the frames in one place. When you shake them out they are a bit wobbly and hard to move. Assemble them close to where they go to minimize the need to move them. 7. Take your glasses. Although the directions are great, they are small. 8. Don't let the fabric straps in the end covers get pulled back into the fabric. Tie a stick on them to prevent that or have someone hold them. They are kinda hard to fish out!

This building is really a lot more sturdy than some I have had in the past. The steel pipes are sturdier and there are more of them than buildings I have had in the past. And there is much more bracing between the pipes. And the ability to secure the pipes to the ground makes it even more sturdy. The weak point of this building is the covering. In all fareness, it is only warranted for one year. My covering lasted almost two years. Shortly after one year, the covering started tearing at the stress points where the pipes curved downward. I used flexseal paste to cover and reinforce those torn areas. It seemed to work until recently when the entire top torn clear across from front to back. I have included pictures of the tear. I was really surprised that it tore during the summer after it was strong enough to hold up the weight of a moderate snow during the winter. While it lasted, it was a great building. I think what I have learned is that no fabric covering will be able to be more than temporary. The sun is just relentless on these materials. Therefore, I am compromising and giving this product 3 stars. I was expecting a long lasting building and I only got a two year building. But it was only warranted for one year and it did last that long. So, that is my compromise. However, I did say that I was impressed with the sturdiness of the frame. Therefore, I am going to replace the fabric top with a metal one. This building is not a complete disappointment. Update: I have used the pipe structure to construct a metal cover. The cover is very heavy, so also had to reinforce the inside with 4x4s to hold the weight. However, the pipe structure is still the best I have seen in any of these types of buildings. I am including three pictures of the structure after we put the metal on it. We still have to do the front doors. I am curious as to whether this tarp cover would have lasted much longer if it was in a very shaded area. Hope this review and update gives you a complete understanding of this structure.

This Shelter cover came almost a week sooner then the order said it would which was really nice. the instructions were very easy to follow to make it easier on your self go step by step with the Instructions one by one laying out all your parts to make sure you have all the correct amounts of parts the Instructions say you will need. We needed a full weekend for this project because we also added a Rock floor and Rock all around this garage cover to prevent water from weather from setting in places not needed.a few helpful hits we did to help prolong the Tarps when it came to the bolts and nuts. we cut some small rubber tubing 5/8 or 3/8 just big enough to fit over the nuts then we very neatly wrapped duck tape around the rubber and the nuts to prevent any of this from tearing or putting holes in the tarps. we did this in every place that the nuts were exposed that would damage the Tarps. we had to make a few adjustments because Two of the feet were welded backwards so we had to make some small metal plates that we drilled holes into and pounded spikes into the ground, this also gave us some added support for windy weather. The worst part of this entire project was putting the tarp covers on we had to make a lot of adjustments to get the tarps to fit as snug as they are supposed to fit. and this was following there Instructions to a Tee. do not tighten down all the nuts in the lower parts of the garage till your tarp is a 100% because of all the adjustments you will have to make. my Husband builds things for a living so this was super easy for a Mechanical minded person like he is but this will be very hard to put together if you are not the read before you do kind of person. now that this garage is all up and put together it will house my husbands real Love which is his Nitro Bass Boat.

From time of receiving it to completely up was a good 8 hours. This includes opening package and laying out and separating all content, assembly, mostly myself and wife helped for about 2 hours as needed. I mounted on a 20' x 12' concrete pad next to my work shop for storage and bolting down every support with concrete bolts. I took the time to measure every support and mount to make sure it was square and tight. Front and back panels have pockets in the bottom which I slid in aluminum tubing which is a great help to keep the end panels more secure in the wind and makes rolling up and securing the zippered door very easy and tight using the included bungee cords. No matter how well you tighten up everything you are going to have sagging panels on top which will hold snow. When snow is light and the wind is blowing it will shake it off no problem. When snow is wet and heavy I got out there and pushed up from the inside to slide it off and with a little sun it was in good shape. So far it is keeping everything dry I have in it but I do elevate anything off the concrete that I don't want to get wet if any water flows through but most just runs through in the relief joints in the concrete pad. Shipping and price was very good using Prime. Box was a little banged up but no real damage or loss of parts. Only defect was the printing of the ShelterLogic name on one side- it was not level but slanted down about 2" from left to right but it worked out facing the back side of my yard towards the woods where no one would notice or else I would have requested a new cover from the company if I had to look at it all the time. Anyone saying they can have it up in 1-2 hours, more power to them. I'm just telling you what it took me to do it as I did. I am happy with it but if I wanted a more secure storage unit especially in a heavy snow and wind area I think I would go with one of the rounded supported roofs and a heavier material and a higher quality and price unit. Hope my "No BS Review" helps anyone interested in this unit. I feel it will serve the purpose I was looking for. ****** Update 1 year later Nov. 2017 just out of warranty. Top is coming apart with holes and had to apply Shrink wrap tape to keep it from further and totally falling apart. Would recommend purchasing a product with a much heavier material if you want to get a few years out of it or really check it over before end of 1 year warranty and try and make a claim if you see a problem. 2 YEARS LATER 10/13/2018 UPDATE. Every top corner coming apart even more then as noted in my 1 year review and needs to be re-taped on every top rounded corner with fresh shrink wrap tape on both inside and outside hoping it will make it through another winter season. Roll up door grommets pulled out and ripped a hole and also needs taping with a new grommets installed. May have to throw a large top from HF over complete top if it starts to really rip up bad this winter. Called ShelterLogic about a replacement cover and it would cost almost 2/3 the price of a complete unit just for the tarp! My plan is this is a temporary shelter for 2-3 years until I build a permanent pavilion in this location since it has a nice 6"-12'x20' concrete pad. Bottom line is if you think this $300 plus investment is worth it for 2-3 years to protect your things from the rain and snow you'll find it an OK investment as I have. Too Bad ShelterLogic can't supply a new replacement cover for a reasonable price like $100-$150 and it would be a great longer term investment. Thanks DoneWrenching NE Ohio END OF 3 YEARS. CANVAS TOTALLY SHOT! THREW CANVAS OUT,MOVED FRAME AND PUT A HEAVY $50 CANVAS ON IT TO USE IT TEMPORARILY IN DIFFERENT LOCATION. BUILT A NICE PAVILION IN ITS PLACE. BOTTOM LINE, WOULD I BUY THIS MODEL AGAIN FOR 3 YEARS USE----NO-NO-NO!!!

Tremendous product that is worth the time, effort and thought you put into it. I purchased the 10’ x 20’ product to store a 2013 Ford F-150 and it fit perfectly inside. Stored over a (COVID) Minnesota winter, the truck mostly needed protection from tree saplings and droppings. However, be sure to put the time and thought into how you’re going to secure the tent- we couldn’t screw/drill into the ground for footings, but planned on using sand bags for weight. I used somewhere between 100-120lbs secured in total to secure the tent all around. Snow helped keep it footed once it froze too! Only winds in excess of 40mph were an issue where I actually secured the tent the the truck with ratchet straps and such. Highly recommend the product to someone willing to use the product as instructed, plus some creativity. Solid tarp, decent frame and relatively easy assembly. Can’t thank you enough for keeping my baby clean this winter and spring! We’ll see how disassembly goes 😉.
