Description

The SKIL self-leveling red cross line laser level is a compact tool that makes it simple to align multiple pictures, shelves, or cabinets and install banisters, trim, and more. The multi-functional clamp can be attached to the top or the bottom of the tool for easy positioning on a ladder, Table, and lots of other surfaces. The laser level works great and is very easy to use and I highly recommend it. It worked well to line up curtains mounted near the ceiling around a 25'x15' room with the laser level in a corner and the line being easy to see on all the walls. The only thing I would like to see changed is the power switch could have a bit less resistance to toggle, currently, you really need to hold it still with one handle while turning it on and off to prevent moving it. This is a minor thing and really only applies if you are trying to turn it off and resume later without the line moving, and this is mostly just for the vertical line as the horizontal one stays pretty stable either way. The tripod is a great addition that is important to have so you can finely adjust things like the exact height of the line. The tripod itself I would put around 3/4 stars as it will be good enough for most needs but is on the shakier end as far as tripods go. For the average person though, it will be more than good enough unless you need the level line higher up, I had to set it on tabletops to get it high enough for picture frames. That said it can be easily used with any tripod mount to improve this laser level greatly, but I would consider it more of an added bonus than the core product so don't let it influence your purchase decision directly, it is better to have it than not for sure. ... show more

It’s a simple set up, self leveling, can clamp to pretty much anything, can be recharged, I dropped it twice by accident and it’s fine. Good quality, laser can be seen night or day. Really nice for price.

This is my first laser level so I'm no expert but it is super easy to set up and use and when in the unlocked mode was accurate to my 4' level. I love that it will find level on its own so you don't have to level tripod.

I have a partial basement I am doing and this has been a wonderful tool to do so. There is a slide switch on the side you have to remember to move to unlock to get the lasers to auto level. I kept pushing the button and was wondering why it was angled instead of auto leveling, that is until i slid it to unlock and it worked. The lock i assume is to keep it save when storing and it turns off the lasers. The tripod is seriously lacking. Why would you want a 4ft tripod, i need it for heights to 6ft so I used my camera tripod which worked fine. Left it on for hours at a time and its still on the original batteries. ... show more
