    • Excellent net, would buy it again but would replace the ring on top
Size: 40inch
This fishing net was a huge hit with my kids. We used it throughout an entire week at the lake to catch small panfish and minnows, and they also spent hours every day using it from the beach and dock. It was one of those things that kept them entertained far longer than I expected. The net is a great size for catching small fish and minnows, and the mesh worked well for what we were using it for. It is somewhat cumbersome because of the size and shape, especially for younger kids, but the larger size also makes it much more useful than a tiny hand net. Unfortunately, the plastic ring at the very top broke while we were using it. That’s definitely a significant downside and something I think the manufacturer should improve. Thankfully, I was able to hook the net with a fishing pole and retrieve it before it floated away. My kids would have been absolutely devastated if we’d lost it! Another thing to be aware of is that it does not come with a rope. We happened to have an extra one, so we were able to attach one ourselves, and I think having a rope makes this net much more practical for use from a dock or boat. I would have preferred for one to be included. Despite the broken plastic ring, this net provided a ton of entertainment and actually worked well for catching the small fish we were targeting. My kids used it constantly for an entire week, both for fishing and just exploring and catching things along the shoreline. ... show more
