Full disclosure, this is my very first exposure to a jigsaw, but I've used other power tools and felt I could identify, enough, quality versus not. I have to say first, this jigsaw is excellent! I even shopped some in-store that cost more but this one was identical for less cost. The standouts to me as a first timer: 1. The pull-release to easily change saw blades was absolutely effortless. 2. There's a guide-piece that sits against the blade and keeps the blade from shifting while cutting. This made for a perfectly accurate cut in my drywall to install an in-wall speaker. 3. Every part of this tool feels quality. Durable plastics, hard steel guide plates, thick power cord, etc. Nothing about this feels cheap, which is always a concern with online and cheaper-than-in-store products. Buy this with peace of mind. Exceptional quality. Lastly, I've seen some complaints in the other reviews for the saw blades included in the box. One is meant for wood and is longer so you could get through a 2x4 block. The other seems more meant for thin things like drywall and plastics. I had to use both blades as there was a 2x0.5" wood block behind the drywall I was cutting, and I didn't know it had been patched previously. What I also didn't know is there were screws in the wood, exactly where I was cutting. Despite trying to saw through them unknowingly, both blades held up great, didn't chip any teeth or break, and once I found and removed the screws the longer blade made quick work of the wood and drywall simultaneously. I was impressed how easy this was to use. My ONLY complaint, and this may be true of many other jigsaws too, is there's no safety switch on the jigsaw to cut power. I had to unplug it each time I swapped the blade to ensure the safety of my fingers with any accidental bumps of the saw trigger. Maybe that's not a standard feature of jigsaws and they're meant to just be unplugged? Aside from that, 10/10 would recommend. ... show more

Great value on the jigsaw. Only time will tell if it would hold up under daily heavy use, but I've used a lot of power tools continuously all my life and for the price this saw is a home run. Easy to operate, change blades, set up, a really good package. The saw was easy to control on freehand sheet metal cuts (get good blades) without exception. 5 amp motor, easy to hold and control with enough power. The ambidextrous trigger hold button was a nice surprise. I'm left handed, almost 70 years old and this is the first power tool I've ever bought that was designed properly for a left handed person. I bought this specifically because of the brand name, and I was not disappointed!!! The first thing I did was take it out of the box, papa blading it, and cut a hole out of a 2-in thick butcher block table top with zero problems!!
